My best advice would just be to not get discouraged as you're learning. There's a lot of mechanics in a platform fighter and a lot of moves to learn, so it might be a while before you feel like you've got a good understanding of everything. I personally think Finn and Garnet are pretty straightforward characters, but you should try characters in training mode before buying them just to check. Also, watching videos from top players can help you get a sense of what looks cool and what ideas you can implement in your gameplay

Okay so he’s categorized as an assassin and people misunderstand him cause he plays like a mage but he’s just not a traditional assassin

He has a lot of projectiles that he uses and they all have different things they do

But they’re all supposed to be used to take space away from your opponent to let you combo them for free

And rack up damage

It’s weird in the beginning adjusting to him cause he’s very different compared to everyone else but once you get those few games where he clicks he’s the most fun character in the game

A good Marvin well Marvin in general is a thing people don’t see to often yet so hes a very knowledge check character that if the opponent doesn’t know what you do it’s a free win a lot of the time, he’s also very wacky so if you like being creative he’s probably the most creative character in the game currently
