what kind of controller should i use for multiversus? ive never played a platform fighter before, and traditionally for 2d fighters, i use the hori fighting commander octa, and i use the dpad to move. would that work in this game? i mostly ask because i know there are a lot of games that rely on having the two joysticks, so i dont want to run through the tutorials and learn stuff on a controller that i shouldnt ideally be using. i also have a normal xbox one controller, so i can use that if i need to, but id prefer to use the hori

The 2 doesn't have rlly powerful projectile power tbh, but I recommend going to coop vs ia, try to do as much dmg as you can to an enemy and then trying to get him of the stage with just side special, I think the moveset says that it creates an shockwave PROJECTILE

Suggestions for people...
It depends on what you like to do:

If you love to combo people; Finn, Superman, Harley Quinn and Batman are good choices.

Most suggested: Fin.
Fin has a spinning backpack attack that is impossible to get through unless you get him from above or heavy attack him, wich is technically impossible when you're doing combos.

If you love to Tank, Defend or support your teammates and/or you; id suggest: Steven, Iron Giant, Reindog.

Most Suggested: Steven.
Steven has a clone wich can support you or your teammate attack their opponent, as well as his bubbles that surround the player and his teammate to defend them from the players 3 diffrent attacks and stevens shields what are immune to player attacks, except how you can punch through with is good for combos in a defence position.
the player can jump over it, but like I said if you keep combing them in defence position you can get them to a pretty high blast radious. Steven is kind of both a good defence and a good with combos. But "I'd" suggest him to be behind his shield to combo the other player.

This is a stupid question I've had for a while but the game isn't very clear on it - if you stack a perk with your teammate, do you double the stacked effects or is it just applied once? For example, Lumpy Space Punch gives your team 5% increased damage with melee attacks in the air. But for stacked it says it gives 10% if your ally also selects this perk. Does this mean 10% total, meaning stacking isn't really important? Or is it 20% (10% each player) to encourage stacking? I've always thought it was the second one but in practice it feels like the first one.

i have been having this problem now and i wonder if its a bug or something i just dont know about, i seem to not be able to knockout some people vertically, i play raindog and a good finisher is dair but against some opponents they can tank it even on 200% when i can knock others out when they are like 120%, it dont think i am unlucky or something cause i have landed it multiple times when they are 160+%

depends on how heavy the character is

Bugs was the meta character. Was a mage with good ranged attacks but played very well as a brawler as well and was very safe doing both

The balance they did have made him not as good playing him as a brawler and I notice people already utilizing his other skills to try to make up for it
