cause when damage is high their knockback is amplified, so they fly off faster, meaning the hitboxes will have a harder time connecting since they've been launched further away within the window of time/space where you would otherwise string together your hits to combo

The purpose of combos in this style of game is to rack up damage when they're low so you can finish them off later with one/two hits later, so if you think about it that way it makes more sense. Combo when they're low, and then try to finish them off with a well placed strong hit when they're high. That's really the basics of offense in platform fighters

I'm not sure what tracker.gg's mmr is based on because it's not the global ranking or the character ranking. All the rankings have their place and importance tied to them though.

It feeds all that to the server and the server gives the okay to do whatever. All your information is on your account. If the game proceeded without the info, you'd be able to play nothing but the main menu and the lab mode.

Arya is not easy to play. Personally I think she needs buff up. I don't play her, but just by reading and trying her out in the lab... She is light character (die faster), poor hitboxes, short jump, projectiles cooldown is longer. Whereas Bugs and TJ move fast, good hitboxes but they don't have damage penalty like assassin class.

Some thinks Arya doesn't need buff. So I respect any top Arya players.

But I won't play her as I only focus on a well balanced characters, and beginner friendly like Shaggy, Wonder Woman and Harley. Any characters that are unlikely getting nerfed. (I don't mind they nerf Shaggy side kick with cooldown, I don't spam that move anyway).

I find top 2v2 would be Bugs, Superman and Velma. But I prefer playing 1v1 for rank and 2v2 just casually, for fun. Especially 2v2 stage can be too cramped and messy hitboxes.

yo so I played like a few 1v1 games with garnet starting out so I could save up enough for Harley, and then labbed Harley combos and played a ton of games on her with like a 70% winrate. However my leaderboard position/mmr hasn’t changed from 5 million/930 even after I win a bunch of games on Harley

And in the leaderboards the character next to my name is garnet, any way I can make it so that Harley is my 1v1 leaderboards character so I can actually climb

Bugs rocket/safe can be interrupted and prevented entirely if you smack him while it is spawning in. For Superman he has armor on his big telegraphed attacks to having armor break helps and you can punish his grab from above or below but don't get caught in front of him when he is flying

Use a controller you are comfortable with. Comfort is key. If you are use to using the triggers on a controller you may want to play with remapping them to something. Play in The Lab with various characters to get a feel for them and play bot matches to get a feel for the flow of a fight. Fighting games are all about keeping calm, practice, and muscle memory. Finn is potentially a beast. A friend called him the Marth of the game if that helps? He has a lot of range, hits hard, flows combos easily, and is very quick.

It is character based, not account. Feel free to mess around on new characters. If you beat people of a higher MMR you gain, if you lose to anyone you lose. If you beat people of a lower MMR you gain nothing.

a lot of characters do, but honestly i'd say harley has pretty neutral matchups with most characters. She'll likely have a rough time against characters like Finn and Bugs, as most characters do, and her combo heavy playstyle means she can pretty easily annihilate characters like IG or wonder woman if you can close the gap and land the combos

Up air, up special, and air neutral are all really strong. Learning how to throw people into her box thing is really important. Theres an infinite combo that she can do, youll have to look that up though.

Gives them confetti and knocks them up into the air. Shes a vertical character so the idea is to get them up in the air with a combination of the box, up air and up specials

You can place the box in the air or on the ground. I think its most effective to have it like 1 jump height in the air, near the edge of the level bc itll make recovery harder.

Her down air is solid for spiking, especially with the perk that lets you aim it. And neutral air is a 360 degree chargeable hammer with big knockback

No it doesn't hurt you, it just knocks you up a little bit and resets your jumps

Resetting your jumps is helpful for you. Like if you knock someone up but you use all your jumps and you didnt get them out yet, you can reset and stay in the air longer

She can kill at pretty low percent if she chains that stuff together

Theres lots of ways it might happen in game. They might just accidentally run into it on their own as they move around. The grounded up attack will knock them up in the air though, you can charge it up or do it without charge

Also you can hit up air on grounded enemies if you jump and do the attack right before you hit the ground

It depends on who it is, some are heavier than others for sure. Most people try to chase towards the boundary by spiking, jumping up or extending to the sides, thats the best way to kill at lower percent
