raid finder is basically a beginner difficulty raid. Heroic dungeons give OK enough loot but these arent challenges. the fun/challengning content comes form mythic plus which low keys are a pain to do at this point in a season or normal>heroic>mythic raid

Its hard to explain keys but basically at this point people just want to do 10s unless they are pushing for higher ranks which is vanity. But you wont get to 10s for a while if you are solo. You are gonna have to join groups that are like +2s which are going to be bad groups and inch up from there, so its best to push your own key but if you are dps finding a tank or healer will take forever

Normal raid wont invite you unless you have a certain gear level which you will need to do a lot of keys to get to, Heroic wont invite you at some point unless youve already beaten the raid, at least groups that are worth joining

which means you spend a majority of your time waiting to play the game

pvp is worse

They did a good job of lowering the power ceiling as time went on and bringing things closer to balanced but there was always an outlier. season 4 was the closest they got to balanced then they revamped the game enitrely with 5 and broke other characters then never got a chance to balance things closer together again
