it can also tank projectiles for you, but its pretty weak so its not rlly used for that

another way that tunnel repeaters can be useful, fairing safe at a tunnel and having it cycle through is insane, if they dont do anything they get hit, if they airdodge it goes to the tunnel and repeats. best counterplay is to break it or disable it and that can be easier said then done

but the thing about bugs is that if u rush him down constantly he cant set up anything and its basically the game if u lock him down
