Its very casual friendly. Just need to learn the general weapon movesets then 6 moves per character. It is very beginner friendly but also has depth for competitive. I think the simple gameplay though makes it much less appealing

Ranked is filled with people using 2 combos or tricks on a character to climb rank.

PFG doesn't automatically convert event currency into prestige points, you have to contact them.

Battle Pass characters are made to be incredibly easy to win with and don't get nerfed significantly until after the season they're in ends. And that's if you're lucky.

Certain characters receive constant buffs yet no/little/insignificant nerfs.

Some characters have 0TDs that have been known for months, but haven't been patched.

The way RP is given is incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes you lose RP even if the person concedes.

Some character badges are locked behind the battle pass, when they should be given by leveling the character up instead, that way there's more space in the battle pass for actual cosmetics.

Bundles seem cobbled together with no rhyme or reason.

The battle pass also seems cobbled together, as if they have a punch of banners and stats and on the back burner to throw into the battle pass later.

Fighter Road just feels like a way to artificially keep player counts stable so people won't just get the character they want and leave

Shields are inconsistent, sometimes they break in a single jab, othertimes it takes 3

Camping is rewarded in this game, seemingly nothing happens to those who run the whole game and wait to punish.

On top of that "Stop Camping!" Does not do anything to fix the actual issue

I really hope the devs learn a lesson from this and work towards rebuilding this game from the ground up. I really love crossovers and this had a huge amount of potential. In my opinion there needs to be a change in aesthetic. The 3D makes some of the characters look flat and weird. Not saying it should be 2D but at least a style that looks more pleasing to the eye. That’s just my opinion though. It needs smash bros speed and movement too. The game feels way too slow which is a popular complaint among fans. Also, better characters earlier on. The problem was that the devs made some massive mistakes with monetization, they then listened to the fans too much. People moaned about fighter currency - but that was miles better than fighter road. People moaned about early access to characters via the Battlepass, they took that out of the BP, and filled the BP with junk so now there was no reason to buy it.
