Here’s an FWI for platform fighters or any game that has combat based around occupying space, if the maps allow you to camp, it is the best strategy. Players who want to win will always camp if you are playing on a neutral footing to them. And also, having salt, sweating, laughing and crying emotes, is not normal for platform fighters, because these games are innately aggravating from the fact that you can die from just falling off the stage

So, despite otherwise being really BAD at games in the same genre, they've grown this ego where they think them falling off is the game getting worse, so they want to go back to a time when they were considered "good".
