Morty's jabs aren't great in a game where jab is usually your best tool. He doesn't have some all encompassing aerial hitbox, he's prettt telegraphed, you can watch out for charged projectile and approach him accordingly, dirt has some decent recovery if you're ready for it, he's decently light, he can't do much if you don't approach... he's got some weaknesses lol. When I think of PPG's, I draw a blank.

And Jack is overtuned in like, jab speed (9 frames and twice as long as shaggy's, who's already a warcriminal with his jab alone), hitboxes and walk speed. He can stall like a mf, jab leads into a conversion into ground bounce into jab, and his off stage play is crazy. That being said, he's pretty limited and not great. Still think both those characters are unhealthy for the game.

PPG has all those issues and none of the weaknesses to make up for it

I literally hold shield, in training mode or not, and it ALWAYS forces a dodge from guitar stance. You CAN'T reset without a special, and it only ever allows you to string again if you use the jab button to finish your combo specifically, and whiffing is... there's no upside whatsoever lol. Also, staying in place DEFINITELY matters in a platformer

Again, I'm positive that I'm doing something wrong with marcy, but that much is just not true

You have to hold shield before the bass mode animation finishes if you wanna shield without strumming

so I just always hold shield when I bass mode now

you have enough time to strum even while holding shield

so basically just hold shield, don't strum on whiff, and strum if you see it hit

or you can just strum on whiff and shield right after anyways lol

but then you use up a bass mode strum for later combos

also don't use special button to use finishers, only do all 3 attacks and finish with attack button or cstick to reset stacks

if you use special button even if you are on the 3rd strum already you still have to do a finisher with attack button
