While I think some people are a bit hyperbolic about it, it’s hard to ignore that Multiversus is still super unbalanced like it was in Beta, the F2P and New Player experience gets worse with each passing season, they keep making events but then not letting people get skins from said events without working a 4 hour shift with no breaks in the Online Queues/Rifts, the Battle Passes this season were so bad that even Ajax and NAKAT couldn’t pretend they were good in Into The Verse, Rifts is still completely unbalanced but they keep adding content to it that they don’t test, they brought the Lives thing back for Rogue Rift and made it an insane grind too despite claiming they were gonna pull back on grinding

I do agree that MVS fans don’t know what they want, but they botched the release of Raven and Marceline so hard making them premium only for 3 days and then putting them at the very end of Fighter Road (which is not beginner friendly at all). Shields are a net good imo but any time something new happens in a Comp Fighting game the Comp Players will get upset so I see why they got backlash. The events are neat but the grind for them is completely unreasonable. Trigon Event basically didn’t have anything beyond a Premium only Superman skin and 300 Gleam while Mystic Vista, and The Cold One are insanely grind heavy. Ugly Sweater was okay I guess idk I just got Marceline and the Cat Banner and left 😭

I seem to remember Arena having a HORRIBLE first impression but maybe that’s changed? I know the devs are pushing it hard but I never hear people talk about it.
