He somewhat has the whiff punishing capabilities but with shield the timing goes from what are they gonna do after whiff to what are they gonna do after shield, and usually jacks can't cancel their jab combo so it's a free punish for the opponent, you can deny aerial approaches as well as his only 2 options are nair and downspecial which have a very very long shield lag considering nair is a multi hit and down special in air combined with its endlag is basically impossible not to punish

His projectiles are tied to an iffy counter and a waste of focus unless you know your opponent likes to jump around and you want them to jump or dodge over the projectile to upspecial or dodge jab them

No, just indirectly. Since they lost their combo game almost completely in the last nerf, it was awkward squeezing in their neutral attack. You could only really use it raw and two of them had insane knockback, which made them moreso used for ring outs.

Neutral attack isn’t really a move you spam effectively, except for blossom sort of. But now that was nerfed too, with way longer end lag so you can’t proc a meaningful amount of slow

The main use is the scream stun which was nerfed a lot and as mentioned earlier is hard to combo into and follow-up really well

The point of arena mode is to make your character broken and make your opponent suffer. It's fun in its own right once you master the shop system. I have like 40 1st place wins on it.
