What you're describing is literally already done internally within PFG. Community managers and devs at PFG play the character between themselves to get a feel for them and try them out and it's 50x more accurate to get an idea for balancing that way than with public testing.

The good chars hv crazy advantage states that can take a stock in like 2 interactions, bc of high dmg, kb and other stuff, and it's hard to approach them bc of whatever they may hv, so it's better to play away from all that

Shield play isn't rlly gonna lower game speed, minus in maybe lower ranks, but it will help being aggressive and playing from a bad position more

Game speed is not all that slow imo, more so there's less incentive and ways to approach so it's better to chip away at the opponent first
