I think it doesn't matter if you win 1s or 2s, not sure what exp FFA gives. It's just once you're out of missions your only real source of EXP is PVP. You get a little for winning and very little for losing.

had that same issue, as have some bunch of other ppl on the subreddit (found out only after posting jsksjajsks). you can use fighter currency if you go to the store page, and scroll down to the fighter store

it appears the issue is caused by one of the bundles in the store where you can use gleamium to buy BA, but it's not entirely clear or for sure
