No. I have low gem lvl and while I up for grinding, I just don’t think I can grind enough to reach looney before the season and event again. Plus, the grind for gem lvl up just feel very annoying to do since you have to do the same matches over and over again but on different difficulty

Let him shoot first and dodge/punish him. Those move leaves him very vulnerable. Wonder Woman is great to dash into him since it cancels all of his attack, except the grab. Using the whip when he is above the ground make him lose control.

Destroy the black bot whenever you have a bit of free time.

Morty is also great to juggle Smith with the Uair. It can kill the adds easily with some hammer hits.

Yeah unfortunately there only banana guard, morty, or Rick to use, and idn how to play Rick just yet

Oh, you meant Smith in the 8th Rift. Then Morty is definitely your pick. Launch him with the rock thing, juggle with him in the air with the Up Air attack (the big explosion) and he won't do much. You can kill Finn, Batman and Shaggy easily by preparing a dash attack when they spawn, then throwing a grenade and make it explode on them when they get back to the ledge. It's usually enough to kill them. Or just explode them with your Up Air attack again

You can also close the gap by doing a Forward Air attack, into a Down Air or Up air depending on his damage % and he won't be able to do much

You have to arm the trap (down special) right under an enemy and have it immediately go off. This can most reasonably be done in easy rifts.

I think its related to the interaction where some projectile based specials don't count for goals. For example, throwing a shaggy sandwich never counts as a down special for missions because the down special just "creates" a sandwich. Similarly I believe what is happening is if the trap has time to "set" then it no longer counts as a move and just what gets "produced" by the down special. If it goes off immediately, then it counts as hitting with a down special.

Yeah that makes sense - I can't test it now since I finished the mission but I definitely dropped dynamite above an enemy and it didn't count, so I think its the same idea that you have to spawn it on top of an enemy (or as you said even easier on the golden zeppelin)

Jake bite cheese is the way, need a bit of luck as well but that seems to be the best bet, seems that after the melons die after being spit up they lose there armor on respawn completely which makes it way more doable, posted a clip of me finally doing it in clips,

I had to fall back to using pokey attacks on Smith with BG.
my partner literally fought the whole fight by himself.
i only jumped in and poked when he missed a combo and was getting hit so he could recover and attack again.

well i jumped in on the matrixs' and the droids in the corner.

it was just Smith.
he was hardest hitting and one getting the most combos.
we also noticed. if you were at like 45-30 seconds left and still have a matrix glitch out fighting.

I’m honestly really annoyed, the one challenge today for the event requires you to have gotten the free Black Adam mask from earlier in the season, and own Black Adam - or you just spend $5 on a mask for another character

I think Finn’s ability to charge his attacks AND move is super strong. But is it too strong? Would he still be viable without it? Would he move up to a Medium difficulty character without it?

Not hate. I’ve seen good Finn’s cook big time. I would just like to see some of these Recommended characters played at a less spammy level cuz they are fun

if you're still in game, you check the timer in BP menu

i've had success with using TJ with dodge, freeze, and bubble pop gem at 9-10.
think you can freeze him if you do AND have a morty teammate freeze him and send him to space.
otherwise. stay away as TJ keep using all projectiles and have your teammate go crazy on them.

the only time really you should close to megalo as TJ is to pop the bubble. otherwise really stay away.
