insanity mega is rougher than the others. there's a lot going on in sync'ing the teams.
like the cat/dog theme team works really well TJ/Reindog. because they both cover each other.
my issue is i'm seeing all the weaknesses now.
like WW has way too many animation frames before her side special comes out.
Reindog hitbox is broken because he doesn't take any damage if you hit his head you can only hit his body.
and Tom is on a 5 move loop with instant up attack when you are near.

also the infinity locking knockback knockout combos they do too... each time perfectly timed.

No, just in general. I deal about 2-5 damage per hit, and they deal 20-30 damage per hit. I understand that's part of the difficulty but when I'm put in a 1v2 at such a massive disadvantage I would hope the AI wouldn't become cracked out of nowhere and perfectly combo me to death after hitting me once

I don’t know if the gems have level caps but I was just trying to level mine up enough that the rift damage goes down… since they hurt really bad until you over level the gems for that difficulty… is it still possible to overlevel them for Insanity or not really?

AND, what i think is the 4th, the pools of DPS spots they have on short cooldowns. Reindog's ignite pool and crystal as well as Tom's mouse trap.

Actually super fun going into a rift match and just becoming combo bait for the AI not from a lack of skill on your end but because your numbers aren't numbery enough. Nothing says "The best part of Smash Bros." like gatekeeping DLC characters behind an RPG stat grind-- and a time gate! And you can't tell me that the enemy AI isn't more aggressive and have higher priority to their attacks if the system deems your gem levels insufficient enough to pass that rift node.
Which would be okay if it wasn't a flagrant abuse of your player base's trust and a grubby shameless attempt to nudge them into buying gem experience.

To be fair, the latest Megalodog rift is a hard time even with level 9 gems.
There's a reason Smash Bros tended to stay away from 2v1s without handicapping the AI, even on the highest difficulties.
And Megalodog has attack speed and damage comparable on Insanity to Smash bosses on the highest difficulties across all titles.
Keep in mind Looney is supposed to be harder than this too. It's not a fun time

A good Bugs can be tricky to catch, I've seen a few people pull off good tricks with his down special and projectiles.
If you do intend to play Bugs, his crouch can get you a sandwich if you hold it for long enough, but it's on a cooldown like his other projectiles.

The tracker suggests Iron Giant, but he's not a character you can get easy results with off the bat.
Really, the best advice is to just learn what people do with the characters you face and adapt with the fighter of your choice.
That's going to take a lot of time, and lower tier characters take longer to do this well with, but as long as your character isn't bottom tier you should see a change in the general makeup of your opponents.

Is there really any point in parrying a projectile besides not getting hit by it if the opponent can still come towards you while you're in your parry animation?

For a few projectiles like arya's dagger it will disappear and it cant be used afterwards
There is a perk however which will reflect the projectile and send it back as your own if you parry it
Very useful against charcaters that have one or two important projectile like batman's batarang or lebron's ball

they're tough the 1v2 nodes. even with help.
but I beat them with level 7 gems, my teammate had like 8.2-8.5, TJ/Reindog, took some tries but we figured out what worked for us.
I was also able to beat Velma/Shaggy solo with WW. so that's not impossible.
and i got Jake/Finn figured out for me solo too.
Steven/Garnet are more insanely tuff than first two in that row. because Steven/Garnet is actually 3v1 if you add in Steven's healer.

if you think those are hard TJ/Reindog and Velma/Shaggy. Steven/Garnet and Marvin/Lebron are even worse.

yeah by the end of the run, for me, i was near gem level 8 when i beat it last night.
I started at 7. When we beat TJ/Reindog.
I think he got closer to 9, i think i remember seeing 2 9's for his gems.
I know i dropped to 7s because i needed to abilities (dodge, freezing, bandage) than the blunt power-up, when we beat Megalodog.
He was the better WW and had good DPS combo going. I was just pick jump attacking and dodging far away because his tail attack would always hit me, or his diving armor breaker move.
I know in terms of cauldrons I had all of them and he needed to gain the last one still, but he was already a higher gem level than me when we started.

i helped my friend beated down route except rick/morty
my friend my helped me beated up route with prioritized tank, bazooka and target one, then beated one boss missions (2 players v 1 boss so it wasn't really hard)

ah yeah the i teamed up with was a pick-up from LFG-Casual he was a solid WW. we tried both.
got close twice with TJ/Reindog and Steven/Garnet just whooped us.
we ended up deciding it was better to leave the team as is and me use Shaggy so that they wouldn't attack me.

not really, i think, because by then you are already use to the challenge upgrade from the previous rifts.
would it make the event easier yes. but that also means they need to give more gifts/rewards.

if anything they should lose easy on the later rifts, and have it as experience again because of the challenge upgrade.
but i think they did it that way because a newbie starting like what last week or so. if you play all the way through cauldrons and all i'd i think it'll give enough gem xp.
because they have double the ability to gain gems at the proper levels than I did.
like I didn't even complete easy mode on the the mega rift because I was already at gem 6-7 that I would get nothing.
but a new player getting 2 cauldrons that early. that should be an easy bump into experience gems.

20% i agree, because i feel i was lucky can beated them all, i think they need to slightly adjust them to make little bit more easier, especially megalodog rift, i don't mind if they keep it that way, i just need to treat them like soulslike challenge, so we really need to focus and observe a lot about their weaknesses

because the account, not saying you, or someone, could have done a the boss skip thing.
where the host has the boss beat and you load into rift into the boss as a friend and get progress.
there's a few ways a win could have counted.
check the math and levels.
as of right now, there's what 3 levels per rift, maybe one of them got done and progress went on somehow.

It doesnt always count your progress to the event tracker until you clear a path to the boss even if you already beat it. Then it usually fixes that.
