For those who are having a tough time against giant on insanity, tell your duo to play as jake and eat the enemy and kill himself and as soon as he try to get up you hit his head, it's the best way i found to kill him.
managed to finish surf's up insanity and get 88 stars🫡

It sounds like from reports there will be 8 rifts this season - so 3 difficulties unlocked makes you get to 24 — you would then have to beat 6 bosses on looney to get to 30

6 lives per day — every 9 minutes one life replenishes

If you got defeated — you pop back to the difficulty menu now with only 3 lives and then it gets exponentially more expensive the more you want to buy lives

You can also clearly tell which specific skirmishes on certain rift match ups have slightly higher difficulty than the rest — my hunch is that’s so they can scale it up and have essentially mini bosses through looney

I can confidently say that Garnet is not good.

I just got humbled by a Garnet, the player was great. Garnet's normals have much better range than Taz' and that kept me out.

But other characters would do like 50 damage to Taz in one combo or whatever, Garnet needed so much more time to do. It was almost footsies but this game is so easy to do damage.

If it makes you feel any better, Taz is sort of screwed in 1v1's for most of the cast.

He has really good damage, but the issue is that he has no range at all. It is absolute hell getting in on any competent player.

There's 2 tier lists when it comes to characters. Their 1v1 and 2v2. Taz seems strong in 2s. Garnet can be as well. In 1s you have to really work so much harder lol

But I think it forces you to be better at the game overall and not rely on just insanely strong buttons and easy pressure.

He has 3-4 moves with good kill potential at higher percentages two of which are on the easier side to land.

yea can only see. because it feels like they release Smith pretty easy because in order to reach Matrix code Smith skin it seems like all the difficulties for all the rifts need to be unlocked within a certain time frame.
what trips me out with that logic is...
there's no way they will release Smith first as a way harder mode then say: "ok for everyone else after the two weeks here's the weaker modes to unlock him and for everyone that already has unlocked him here's a free skin just grind him out."

Release: Side b doesn't have an active hitbox while falling anymore, rendering the move absolutely useless in 1v1.
1st patch: Down b now only hits once (there's a million way in which they could've fixed that one infinite but they decided gutting the move was better)
2nd patch: They made skywalker only usable once, indirectly nerfing the combo every lebron main was using.

In the power pledge event you need to level up your characters to gain event xp. If you played the game before the power pledge event, that means you'd have leveled them up a couple times. The higher the level, the more difficult it is to get to the next level. That means that the power pledge event gets harder if you dare to play the game before the event starts.

A default and 2 more skins would be 33 skins to make just for one character
And i doubt the playerbase would like it if they would leave thr monsters the same for each skins

rest exp gives boosted exp rates when you havne't played for a while for those that dont know.
I think fortnite kinda works on a threshhold system too like if you're behind on the BP the rest exp will last basically forever until you catch up.

I said earlier this game feels like a mix between traditional fighters and platform fighters (or at least smash, I havent played a lot of other platform fighters)

I don't even really miss having to tilt the stick slower or faster for all these "smash attacks" and "normal attacks" and deciding whether or not to dash (an actual dash in Smash) all with what feels like a hyper sensitive stick.

Smash (Ultimate at least) feels very jerky despite Multiversus being the one that could maybe be described that way with its digital input

Yeah the game is pretty rock paper scissors like except 2/3 of the options are safe and the other 1/3rd can be divided into another thirds depending on your character

hitlag is basically the same as hitstun but in yourself. it replaces hitlag. if you hit your opponent, you are rewarded by being able to act earlier. if you miss you get stuck in hitstun

Anyone else having issues with taunt button not working or not registering as taunted in game ?? I've swapped my controls to dpad, and the taunt to analog

yeah and maybe? that's very interesting if changing inputs did that for you since we noticed a similar bug early on when a objective didn't register cause it wants you to not use attacks/special attacks but what it REALLY meant was it didn't want you to use the inputs for those.

I've had this issue for some days now I guess it was just a bug. But I can't even taunt in game and if I do the normal characters one it still does not register 🙃. I'll try switching back though...

the issue is for characters that don't have multihits. it literally puts some matchups into almost unwinnable. also the fact he can do it out of any string without being punished is beyond me

cause most of the time the A.I just gangs on your partner and I can barely find an opening to attack them.
