@mint tapir well honestly the game just isn't a very good 1v1 platform fighter, there's very little advanced tech, many of the kits are low key very similar, lots of moves have so much endlag that they're functionally NEVER worth using in 1v1. so you end up just dash dancing a lot of baiting of your fastest moves -> whatever weird ass bnb you have. air dodging is great if you have stam too, so even if you bait their first airdodge, because startup frames on many moves are so long, its difficult to punish the baited airdodge bc they can spam another.

the game just isnt very competitive imo. rivals of aether 2 looking way better

@mint tapir interesting, i didnt play beta. yeah the startup frames are too slow on so many moves imo. there's so many situations where the optimally correct choice in neutral is dash dance -> use fastest grounded move, or spam projectiles. but projectile spam like isnt even that great unless you have weird traps like bugs.
so essentially the game is purely dash dance -> side attack or dash attack. which is boring imo

Coming from Tekken, this a familiar feeling where once you have a neutral opening, it's a quick BnB. Maybe we're underestimating "Parry" and once we figure it out reliably, the game will seem more complex
