All jokes aside, this game gives a lot of nostalgia because I grew up playing Smash Bros. on the GameCube, Wii, WiiU/3DS, and Switch. Sure this game is in the early stages and is working on balancing issues, but it's still very fun. I'm enjoying the battlepass system and the rewards for grinding. Perks and levels also are a nice addon to the characters you fight as. This game is very rewarding for people who play a lot. I'm glad you can't purchase tiers.

we do not, through speculation we're likely to get Rick in September, then Black Adam and Stripe in the following 2 months, but no set dates yet

No, but I have a guess. Morty is confirmed arriving August 23rd, which is 1 week from now. I'm guessing Rick will arrive ~4 weeks after Morty. Rick will most likely be the next character released after Morty since the two are a pair.

As for Black Adam and Stripe... the Black Adam movie releases October 21st. So Black Adam will likely enter MVS in mid-late October. That leaves Stripe who will likely come in early-mid November. mmr does not depend on winrate. I heard today that for now custom games give you mmr, meaning you can easily farm your rank. So don't consider "rank" as an indicator of skill

I don't believe your mmr will impact your matchmaking. Ranked isn't in the game yet so it wouldn't make sense for unraked to consider your rank.
