Ok so im pretty new to blender and am using some premade models, I've come across with the issue of the model streching while posing and i was wondering how to make it where that doesn't happen (when i say stretching i dont mean the texture just the model itself and just wanna know how to modify the model's rig to prevent that)

Could you share a screenshot?
Stretching could be caused by weird weights, a wrong modifier, it could be intended with stretchy bones or smth broke. Hard to tell without any visual clues
Yeah, sorry for the late reply, i made the question while i was at work
is there a way to make it where I'm not able to deform the model like this? It isn't a big issue with moving the arm or legs but I struggle keeping smaller details like the fingers proper length and i use a vr addon when i actually try to animate (this screenshot was done in desktop mode rather than vr)
If the rigger didn’t add a switch for stretchy/ none stretchy bones, I don’t think so
