#Why when I use array the claws change their size
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I don't understand what you mean, can you explain?
Are you doing the polyfjord doctor ock tutorial?
yep
I tried to do that, but the problem was that I had to move each paw individually, and this would be difficult for me as a beginner, and Polyfjord said I should use array.
it happen when i use this tool and select the triangle
How did you solve it?

I applied all transforms on the claw
i cant understand you
and i do evry thing in thee video
ok i wait u
do you find any Solution
so
sorry for the time
i did exactly like polyfjord did in the tutorial
and i dont really know what the problem is
What version are you using?
Did you Clear the Objects location at the start?
can you go back to this stage?
Select one claw, press CTRL A
and apply the SCALE
then rotate the Triangle 180 degrees
whilst holding down CTRL to snap the triangle to the correct axis
Okay! How does the array look like with relative offset on? And object offset off
it seem like that
Select the Claw
Apply Scale
?
I followed along and it just worked. I guess you messed up somewhere (probably have to apply the rotation of the triangle and make sure the origin of the claw is correct).
Maybe try to redo it
I have restarted the project more than 7 or 8 times and all have the same problem
and the triangl is -90 in x axis
Needs to be 120 in y and 0 in x
the triangle ?
yes
Yes. y rotation 120 and every other transformation 0 besides scale which is 1
Can you send me the blend file
HOW CAN I DO THAT?
you take your .blend file and drag and drop it in this chat
First of your rotation is set to 270 on x.
Set everything to 0.
Rotate x by -90
cntrl a, apply rotation
set y roation to 120
don
Thank you for your help. What was the problem with the project?
You need to orient the triangle correctly, apply the rotation and then rotate it
