I am making a Corn skull going off a reference. I wanted to try and make the corn cob part with geometry nodes, to practice but I couldnt figure out how to get this kind of semi-regular pattern of the kernels. Couldnt really find any material online covering something similar to this. Any ideas of how to do this?

You need an object that you can distribute the corn on. Atm you’re using the skull itself but the distribution is off because you have no way of controlling the pattern -> create a curve/ mesh line hd instance your objects on to those points. That way you’ll have a correct distribution that follows a line. You can add variation by slightly moving the line with some noise.
I don’t really use geo nodes so I can’t tell you the exact setup to match the rotation but that should at least cover the distribution
