#IK bones to follow a path for Idle animations

I'm struggling to map my IK bone to a path without the whole mesh/armature trying to copy the location.

Is there a way to possibly map only the IK bone to a path?

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

Are you using an object constraint rather than a bone constraint?

Yes you're right, I was using the wrong constraints.

I'm still struggling to animate the bone to the curve path though.

I'm sorry, I cant see your video because its not got a common codec and i have to pay for that codec :S

HEVC is the successor to H.264, and is often recommended a lot because it's better than H.264 in literally ever way. It's faster, smaller and easier to decode.
