hello! im watching the wednesday show and wanted to model a more mechanical version of thing or whatever its called so im blocking out this hand model and wanted to know if i should bone it like i have or if there is a mrore efficient version

End of the day a good rig is a rig that makes the mesh behave exactly as you want it to. Can you make a more complicated rig? Sure. Is it necessary? Who knows. Parent it and see if it does the job

is the reason its not on joint because i used f to join the bones on the wrist and upper hand?

you just need to parent the bones and do connected under the relationship section of the bone properties in edit mode
