Hello guys, am trying to render a scene in cycles.. but it says GPU out of memory.. I have 4Gb Nvidia graphics card.. what’s the solution.. even when I reduce samples to 100.. it still doesn’t render

samples wont change how much memory its using. its due to the number or objects/verts/textures etc.

try render CPU instead

or remove detail from your scene (decimate/remesh etc)

i just restart blender and render again, it works

or if i have anything in the viewport selected i deselect it and then render again

I had this issue, for some reason it went away after lowering the cache limit... idk

What blackout said, render with your CPU unless you want to spend hours optimizing your scene. From the looks of your screenshot, it doesn't even look like there's much to optimize.

With a 4gb card I'm curious why it's getting stuck at 1138.5. I'd also try a system reboot in case something else is hogging it. For example if you've loaded an ai model into memory for image generation or upscaling

@mossy tiger Make sure you're not in render view while rendering also if you're using textures I'd limit it to 1k textures at most. Also if you go to preferences you can turn on statistics at the bottom of your screen to stay aware of resource usage
