I'm just going to chime in here. A lot of good addvice i've seen from the community which is awesome to see. For home defense, I do recommend a shotgun--pump or semi-auto but not break-action or double-barrel. As for ammo--buckshot all day. Not birdshot. Birdshot is not dependable to end a threat in diverse conditions. In the right environment, a few thick layers of clothes would do wonders in slowing down birdshot projectiles leaving the threat disoriented or wounded at best and more pissed off at worst. Buckshot has the area of effect of birdshot with the stopping power of about a dozen 9mm rounds all in an area the size of a softball or basketball depending on how long your hallway is. Stop the threat.

Also, although said with some funny, it must be addressed that even with a shotgun, you DO need to aim. You do need to train. ... But the margin for error on a shotgun is noticeably better than a pistol or rifle. Just dont think that just because a shotgun has a "spread" (if not using slugs) that it cant miss. You can still miss. Very easily (softball size spread at 7 yards iirc). If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out. I do personal protection and home defense stuff for a living. if youre going to a fight or something like at a field, then i would suggest getting aeg, only for the sole fact you dont need to reload your gun or anything like that. also if its too cold outside, your GAS mags could chill up making em pretty unusable. but if youre at home, just chiulling wanting to shoot, then id get gas, cause it is the coolest thing ever playing with it, without the dangers of a real steel.

all glocks are pretty similar, besides size, front slide bezzles, and mag size, functionality, etc... if you want, you can try to find one thats similar, if not to these, then to the one you have in game. cause as stated, it is very similar between glocks

But yeah, these are photos showing different generations of the same Glock. The Glock 17, gen. 3 and gen. 5. As said before, the gen. 5 has front end bezels, a flared mag well, for easier reloading, different sight picture, and ambidextrous slide catches. Then gen. 3 does not!
