VR requires rendering the full scene twice simultaneously, once per eye, at +90 FPS to avoid motion sickness. Which means having "2 renders of the games" running at high FPS on top of everything else.
Bodycam's photorealism is literally one of the the biggest point of the game. Lumen, Nanite, the lighting, the post-processing effects... that's what makes it look and feel like real bodycam footage. Stripping that down to make VR viable would mean destroying the one thing that makes the game unique, for sadly, a very small amount of player that would enjoy it

I think you guys don't appreciate how much work goes into game development. Rockstar has a vast amount of capital and still hasn't released GTA VI yet. Arma 4 isn't out yet, etc. And these are big entities. This is a small indie dev team doing their best and grinding hours and hours behind a screen with their goal being perfection. They've said they're rebuilding the game from the ground up, similar to a "Bodycam 2.0", they aren't just updating the game. Technical debt is aquired, and sometimes the only way to actually solve the problem is dismantling the core code and trying again, this is why Tarkov is probably still on Unity

Plus, the game right now is basically a demo. It's not a "game", and they're releasing a very large amount of content with the update. Be patient!

Bodycam and tarkov both have intricite systems, and animation alone takes forever. If you have less money, less people, and you're building an intricate game, how is it not comparable?
