Have you ever seen footage of Bodycam videos where people have their faces exposed? Unless you're watching liveleak or that kind of crap, no you probably haven't

The game simulates as if what the player is experiencing in real-time, was instead a pre-recorded video that an operator is watching after the incident so yes, it has post-processing AND blurred faces

So no, it's not unnecessary since it preserves the game's logic AND avoids having to deal with faces that contain trillions of polygons lol, more fps for us

it's a design choice. Real bodycam footage usually has faces blurred, so we kept that for visual coherence. Plus, character faces in games still aren't always great and can break immersion, the pixelation helps with that too.

That's why the unblur mod isn't ok, even if it looks harmless, it removes an intended part of the experience.
