The reload animations are meant to be variable, if I remember correctly; sometimes your character will miss their reload and it will take longer, etc. So it can indeed force you to think before reloading mindlessly. We clearly see this in the dev leak; the time given isn't the same from one reload to the next.

I think that's the intended effect: to make people think twice before reloading impulsively or firing their entire magazine. It will slow the game down a bit, which at the moment (for me) is far too fast.

In terms of gameplay, I would really like it to be closer to a "tarkov" with weapons that jam, blurred vision after long full auto, ears that get blocked after a high-caliber shot, etc.

Well tbh I prefer a win by the IQ instead of a win with a reload who coast the same cooldown time. I mean if you are injured or under stress that's normal to increase the reload time. And if you can put the player under stress it's a new part of the gameplay.

One problem which is probrably known is that when the operator stopped running. He immedietly raised his hand in a nano second to reload. Maybe force the reload to first raise that hands of the operator at a realistic speed(make it fast or slow on stress levels) so that gets fixed

I will say, not sure if you've seen the bubbling issue im talking about, but i do think its worth looking into! I'm not a game dev, but as far as I am aware, leaving on UE5's native denoiser and feeding it into DLSS makes that issue super obvious, so if there is a simple way to disable UE5's denoiser when DLSS or FSR is enabled I think that would work graphical wonders
the only way I've seen others do it is by using a tool like unreal unlocker to disable UE5's denoiser, i can refer you to a quick explanation if needed

Also that animation looks like the player touched a hot stove. It looks weird. I mean i can see the vision but that stuff is not impressive to me. Paintball is okay unless it's with a gamemode where there are continuous respawns cause you can easily spawn trap people in those far corners while holding the adjacent houses

i see why the inflatable cover on paintball is bulletproof, but i should be able to mag dump a wall on airsoft or bombhouse and tag someone

Yea me too but tbh if I create a area for airsoft / paintball I would probably use sand instead of air I don't want to change the bag every week 😂
