But once it's taken off there are no extra options for this

However the mixed feelings about this grain has been reported to the team

Crashing is the worst part of this whole new update.
Most of the stuff that was done is fine, game plays fine, FPS is way more stable. But the crashes suck. It makes me not want to play anymore.

If I had to explain how it looks, I'd say it looks like nanite mesh compressed into a grain, then make translucent. Apply that over the game, and that's what the weird grain looks like

Yeah, I totally agree. There's a bunch of stuff I could nitpick about (shadow sharpness, a few low res textures, etc.), but am I actually gonna notice it a lot while playing? Nah, probably not, but the crashes are really frequent

There a few things you can do, no you can not turn off film grain or vignette or adjust fov, but you can turn off BloomQuality to 0 and LensflareQuality to 0. Makes a cleaner looking game. It apparently is frowned upon doing any of that though. Whatever, I want a sharp game no crappy effects.

A multiplayer FPS game is based on an equal experience. If you're playing WZ for instance, and get your graphic options to potato, then some details will disappear, like bushes and so, which gives an advantage. Not to mention than getting into the code/engine of a game can break TOS and get you banned.
