@versed thicket WWIIONLINE: CHOKEPOINT I am currently the Community Manager and part of the QA on the Dev Side. It was a rebuild of a UE4 project that was acquired by the dev team. Its been rough. But we are getting there. 1 map, trying to get weapons rebuilt again. All the assets are there but due to a botched migration from UE4 to UE5 it was left in terrible shape. But we are getting there it is playable and get 80-100fps on a mildly populated server on a mid level GPU. So far so good.

There are two major updates coming. The first one drops the new zombie mode, optimization, bug fixes, quality of life additions, new CQB map and a rework for the whornhouse map.
The second one comes with the loadouts, attachments, reloads and all that stuff.

I like that they are trying to work on a bunch of things for the future of this game but in the state that its in right now I cant recommend it to anyone and I hate that. the absolute biggest issues with game has nothing to do with balance or optimization or map design but the fact that no matter what game mode or map I play on, every match is just a call of duty gun game lobby with the worst matchmaking I've ever experienced in a $40 game and its not the gameplay or the communities fault but the fact that every single match is uneven teams unless you play free for all and the fun wears short really quick when you're not allowed to play with any of the weapons you actually enjoy. matchmaking with even teams or just actual matchmaking at all and being able to use the weapons I like would be really cool instead of literally every match feeling like a black ops 2 gun game lobby except at least back then you could earn skins in games. wish I could tell people how great this game is but at the moment trying to convince one of my friends to buy this game feels like I'm wasting their money cause all everyone does is log in to see if there's loadouts and if the game has matchmaking and then once they see it still doesn't they shelve bodycam for 4-5 months in the hope that some random update will make the game feel like a real actual game.

I do get the difficulty adding it if I wasn't built with it in mind to begin with, like replumbing a house while still living in it but there are alternatives they can look at like a lightweight relay server or or freeze and resync that don't require full game state serialization
