Use FSR settings. You'll have some ghosting and some weird artifacting on edges but crank up sharpness and pull all settings to low. Depends on the machine you run, but even on a 1080ti I was able to get 70fps pretty regularly. Even now with my 4070 doesnt do great on WornHouse or Russian House. Also Lossless Scaling App on steam is great for low end GPUs.

There is nothing wrong with UE5....yes it takes a bit to optimize, but if its managed correctly it is not really an issue. The project I am involved with is also UE5 and has no real optimization issues. I can get solid 110 fps on my 4070 with no drastic drops EVER. Optimization is an issue at the Dev level, not engine issue. They know this, all devs know this. Takes time to improve.
They really need to offer low enough settings to not alienate the people that dont have super high end machines. Its just good business....this is a business after all.

there's things wrong with UE5, even though we use it, it's obviously not all sunshine and rainbow, the engine is unoptimised asf, epic is saying that it's the devs, devs are saying the opposite, main issue with unreal is that the "optimisation features" like nanite are useful when you have a cluster of it, but if you use it "from time to time", it's inneficient, and i'd even say that it has its limit, the fact that epic is pushing TSR antialiasing is also a very weird move, the fact that there's no proper built in occlusion culling is crazy to think about it, and there's so much other problems with unreal, that epic COULD fix it, but no, most "big" games are using forks of UE5 that have thoses basic techs implemented.
