From my experience, FPS fluctuate alot depending on the map ur playing on, the weather condition, and game mode.

Some maps seem to be well optimized and have good FPS, but the second it starts raining/snowing, FPS drop.

Also, playing versus or body bomb boosts fps while team Deathmatch for example may have some drops. I think that's due to the constant respawning

That's exactly the problem, although it might bring more players to the game, it will most likely be released with forced limitations like capped fps, removed content (like gore), or just overall lower quality since the game runs unreal engine 5 and who knows if consoles r ready for that 😅

The difference is GTA has a massive playerbase and Rockstar doesn't have to worry about deadlines. People will but gta when it comes out. Bodycam is a brand new game by an unknown studio and it had great momentum, but the lack of updates and game breaking bugs has slowly killed off the playerbase

To be transparent, as has been repeated a hundred times here and elsewhere, in addition to working on the game, the creators surround themselves with people dedicated to tasks, they create tools, facilities to chain updates more quickly over the long term. It is far too complicated to do day to day. They had to build everything. A sort of hierarchy with tasks and dedicated positions. It takes time. They made the choice to voluntarily focus on this structuring rather than throwing dates at you that would surely have been pushed back several times due to lack of organization. They were wiser to structure the studio, which initially started with 2 brothers, into a complete team with defined tasks. It's frustrating for the community, it's understandable, but it's a necessary step if we want to aim for the long term on a game. It's a slow phase, but once the tools, the team and everything else are put in place methodically, things will be clearer for them and for you.

Beta is usually a test phase close to the game's final version or in the case of an update, it's a release candidat,aka something that could be released. The content is almost done, and developers want feedback to fix bugs and polish the game.

Early Access means the game is still in development. Players can buy and play it early, but the game is not finished yet and will change a lot over time.

EA: core gameplay, main gameloops are done, more content and/or gameloops are being developped, devs are looking for player feedbacks to help towards the "final" release
