The external team that takes care of optimization has identified it and will resolve it, it's their job, lots of games have memory leaks but the bodycam one is so important that it ruins your entire experience.

yeah, it def does ruin my experiance, because that is actually my only big complaint. When everything is working with DLSS, I get 75 FPS on 1440p max settings. Then it drops to nothing. Thanks alot for telling me that, thats the first ive ever heard of that

For players used to early access, it's something that is part of the development, for example gray zone warfare still has its memory leak from the release but they managed to reduce it and now the game is much more playable it's a matter of time

The latest patch did a lot to optimize the otherwise highly demanding gameplay, as performance went from 100~ to 100-130~ FPS using FS3/FSR at Quality, depending on other parameters of course.

It seems that these optimizations aren't exclusively focused on including DLSS either. I noticed a drastic increased performance on AMD, nVidia and Intel discrete gaphic processors, all three mid-range and highly playable. Particularly the AMD 6700 XT which seem to have lacked a lot to wish for actually leaves the game quite acceptable.

I can confirm that it runs at acceptable to good performance (Albeit using FSR/DLSS) on nVidia 1600S, AMD 6700 XT and probably best of all on the Intel A770 (ResizeBAR enable [32GB]).

I noticed early on that previous profile settings within the graphics driver can have a huge impact and I'd advice most people to reset or adjust any profile previously used, even if it's supplied by the manufacturer.

Both DLSS and XeSS can be manually upgraded. I did, for Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty not long ago.

I use a combo of dlss swapper, sometimes profile inspector, or optiscaler lol it's ridiculous we got to do all that but 310.2 is a HUGE visual difference even on Delta Force ( UE4 not 5 )

God, what happened to the game???!!! On the Russian buildings map 30-40 fps with DLSS Ultra Q. Ryzen 7500F 4070S 32 RAM. I thought it was bad before, it's just a shame, I had 200-250 FPS on release, with each update there are more and more eye-catching artifacts, the game looks terrible now, and the fps is getting lower and lower. Developers, stop experimenting!!! Bring back the release pre-alpha version, the community is already running away from this game, you will finally lose your audience!

At least acknowledge the problems and stop putting in new content like skins. Focus on the fixes then build from there. If you build on a cracked foundation, you're just bound to have the building collapse. And that is what they are looking at right now.

Theres 2 major performance problems at the moment

Other players tank cpu performance a ton on most maps to the point that it'll drop you down to 25-40fps and the only way to avoid it is by playing alone with bots, doing 1v1s or playing on the map paintball which has the least performance drop

Theres a memory leak issue going on with every map where a lot of elements load up vram and dont get deleted causing occasional stuttering and eventually when your gpu vram is full it loads data onto your system ram which causes the game to be unplayable. Basically a ticking time bomb on every play session but it can be temporarily fixed by restarting the game

because there is manythings that isn't optimized by default for unreal engine and they have to optimize them by themeselves

Your GPU should be near 100% utilization. Depends on the game though. Games like assassins creed are cpu intensive.

But with how current bodycam sits it could be an issue with how bodycam is processing right now. But 99% of the time GPU should be a relatively high %

Endless lobbies in my American location, I experimented and went back to the 566. Something driver released on December 5th and was stuttering around the maps with what seemed to be a locked 60fps with complete collapse down to 35fps w/3090 24GB card. Then I DDU all drivers ( did that before the 566 driver install as well ) and installed the new nvidia driver on their customer service page and I’m back up to 115-70 fps window. Do not do this per my recommendation as this is simply information.

If any of you have an old driver and are weary of downloading the new one, the hot fix driver is on their customer service site.

I did the test on purpose to see if it may be an issue for some as the reviews on the new driver have been terrible. I hope that makes sense. I’m not saying it’s gonna work for all of you, but it eliminated the seemingly lock of 60 FPS that was occurring with the 566 driver from December 5 installed only.

Feedback from a Bodycam Veteran

I was truly amazed by Bodycam when it first launched. Despite some issues, it was playable, fun, and had a lot of potential. But lately, things have taken a turn for the worse. Almost every session is plagued with crashes or disconnects, making it nearly impossible to enjoy the game properly.

One of the biggest problems is trying to play Versus mode with friends. Right now, we can’t all play together unless someone is kicked, which makes no sense. Add to that the lack of side-switching and a reduced round count—5 rounds to win just feels too short. It used to be 10 rounds, and that format gave the game much more depth and balance.

Performance is another major concern. FPS drops have become so frequent that in some matches, the game becomes unplayable. Every update seems to make performance worse instead of better. At this point, the absolute top priority should be performance optimization—squeeze every last frame out of the hardware.

Do I want more skins? Absolutely. More maps? Definitely. More game modes? Of course. But none of that matters if the game breaks every few minutes. Content is meaningless without stability.

Lastly, please consider allowing us to host our own servers—just like Squad and many other games do. That level of control could greatly improve the community experience and game stability.

I love this game and want to see it thrive, but it needs serious attention and smarter decisions moving forward.

The performance is extremely bugged right now. Back when bodycam had dlss in late july before it was taken out I had a 4060ti and without dlss I would get 30fps but with dlss I would get 75fps and 135 with frame gen on and it looked as good as what I was using that was getting me 30fps

if your game is not responding to your cursor, task manager and end task on the web client and then you can click the window screen again to close or keep playing

the game is so bugged out that the web client is constantly reporting issues and to prove that when the game is gone and closed or end tasked, the web client keeps on reopening for no reason. but what its trying to do is report the issues or something

The webclient is part of the steam software package. What your describing sounds like a corruption issue, not a game related cause. Reinstalling steam should resolve it entirely

Oh yeah it's bad, I was running smooth 60fps for a bit there with high settings and DLSS balanced on my 3060, then after a lil while was maxing out at 6-8 frames, especially on specific maps even with DLSS performance and low settings, I legit couldn't do anything 😅

Just had a few games - Hospital, Public pool and Rome seems to work quite well - 70-90fps with my settings (3440 x 1440, mix of high and epic, no DLSS) I created a game on Wornhouse and after a few bots added it dipped to 40fps. Could just be an issue on Wornhouse or certain maps.

6-12 months ago, I had a 3090 Ti and it played great - around 85-97fps (which was my fps cap on my then 100hz monitor) I now have a 4090 & 180Hz monitor and runs at ~40fps 😄

When the bots has been added , tbh I don’t know exactly but now the optimization are in the hands of a external team (who optimized a tons of game you probably already played) the only thing we can do right now is to wait…

Brilliant, introduce something most people probably did not want and wreck the game (maybe the same with zombies)
I paid good money for this too, not to mention upgrading my system and now the maps that were the best dont even work.

In the game world, do they not have a similar concept of 'test', 'dev', 'preprod' and 'production' environments? Once something is released in production, you dont touch this until its been through test and preprod. Release preprod to a number of people and let them report back its working or has totally knackered performance.

If I released updates and new features to our production environment services without testing them first, id be marched off site in about 30 seconds!
