@pale beacon you gotta bring up to the team how switching graphics settings isn't actually changing them sometimes, its buggin out where if i watch my fps count i know im getting 90 fps in the lobby with amd fs3 quality and then changing to dlss performance with 60fps , BUT then i switch it back and its still showing 60fps and it hasn't actually changed the setting even though it looks like it did in the settings menu, u getting what im saying?

I was playing Airsoft with FSR3 and Frame gen on and it was running incredibly good, no issues at all
After that I played Rus Building with DLSS on the highest setting and it's pretty playable, some fps drops time to time but overall works fine
THEN I played the same maap but now with FSR and its FUCKED, back to unplayable 20 fps
I have no clue how this works

btw im still using my old psu, its a asus rog 850w and yeah may sound weird but 850w was more than good for a 5090, even with the both cpu and gpu at %100 usage gpu draws 575w and cpu draws 100w 675w total, 65w motherboard, 50w other little components, even a high quality 750w psu can power a 5090 pc without a issue i dont know why they getting 1600w psu's expect the ones using a 350w i9 fire hazard

and in real life use theese parts are not gonna get %100 utilization at the same time so yeah 850w was just more than good even for a 5090 😄

dlss renders your game at lower resolution and by using ai it boosts the visual quality back to default and since your gpu renders the game at lower resolution u can get more fps, and the quality, balanced, perf. things are just lets you to choose the game at what resolution, quality means %66 of the native resolution, balanced means %58 etc.

that's not true at all. If you set it to performance, you get lower FPS because the game uses a higher resolutions and the quality suffers as a result.

I'm assuming you regularly update your Nvidia drivers as well? Do you use any other overlays or other stuff like that? Shouldn't be an issue tho but you never know ofc with this game.

You could try running the exe from its main folder (instead of Steam) and running it as administrator, by right clicking on it or going somewhere in properties and check the box in there (then you dont have to manually right click on it). Not sure if that'll fix it though @carmine holly

If you had an option of “optimizing” for cry baby gamers on PC oooooor going to a convention and gathering a team for console optimization which in turn will make you A LOT of money. I have had instances where it shows 40-50fps, and it is NOT that low visually or control wise, odd.

Right now, when I attempt to apply fsr anything, it kicks back to off so I have been using the dlss. Not that could be because of my control panel settings but I found it unusual.

I’ll just keep self optimizing no big deal. Worm house is super nice now that’s all I know. Flying around in there.

its really not that bad, less bugs compared to when the game came out, the big thing now is optimization, having to put frame generation on a 4070ti is wild, yes not the newest card but otherwise i have to play low to medium settings

Granted all machines react differently, before I upgraded pre-pre-pre this patch on my 1080 I was getting 90-100 on max.

It's all about God rays (which don't exists) so they did shadows extensively
