Nvidia is trying to recreate rendering as a whole to push a proprietary hardware approach to rendering graphics

which will allow them to sell more BS hardware at more expensive prices

Pretty sure that card would do fine. Your friend would have to tinker with settings to get it balanced enough that it plays well, and looks decent. I know my old GTX 1050ti runs Bodycam at 60fps with low settings/FSR on, and on my 1080p monitor. I'm currently using a much better 4070ti Super and get solid 75fps. However your friends 2080 might struggle with higher resolutions like 2k and 4k, but would probably do well with a 1080p monitor like mine.

I hate browsers

anything that's not chromium based has slow in browser downloads, even if you use gofile or mega

and youtube uploads are so slow (actually, any uploads of any kind)

and I can't use chromium browsers because of Google

once you install a chromium browser, it will eat your memory slowly as it tries to auto update the browser

and happens even after uninstalling

the only way to fix it is to uninstall everything Google related from your OS drive

So here I am stuck using Firefox because Google Chrome, Edge, Opera, and Opera GX love to eat 6GBs of RAM out of nowhere and use 3% of my CPU without even having the browsers open

This is actually why you see RAM usages go past 18GBs in benchmarks on youtube

and why 32GBs of RAM became the standard. When a single browser tab eats at least 4 GBs of RAM, 32GBs sounds like a must
