Steam could be going through it, I know others had issues and it worked itself out over time.
Issue with this game is they didn't release by region, like most games do. It was everywhere at once. So it could be overloading steam

It's not an insta kill though, they need to add zombie sounds (so you know when they're behind you, I have died to this cause multiple times), they need to add a system where, for example, a zombie hits you and you have a certain amount of time to grab like an antivirus to cure the hit, so it's not an insta hit. I also think there should be a point ssystem inside of the mode to open the loot boxes, guns to purchase on the wall, and upgradable protection. Like clothing, hazmat suits, gas masks etc. A gas bomb to kill all zombies (kind of like the nuke in COD except own little twist) you need the gas mask perk to use this grenade/ bomb or you'll die too.
