The issue with a company taking years to complete is that the game will die the first AAA studio that follows suit. These release less than half done to get money to fix sucks but unfortunately that’s the way it goes with small teams. Even AAA studios are dropping half finished games nowadays.
One realistic unrealistic shooter of this magnitude by a AAA studio would be the king of this style of game. But has to be playable/somewhat finished to succeed.

Reissad have no resources (both hardware and peopleware) to keep an barely efficient anticheat system. They should just ban people reported with strong evidence (image, video, profile information, etc) but what we are seeing in the "cheater report" channel is the same cheaters being reported multiple times, and still playing in their very same accounts. 🤷♂️
That's a good recipe to kill the player base and kill the game.

Personally, I'm thrilled to see a game that looks this realistic being developed with Unreal Engine 5. It feels like the industry has shifted to a mindset where if a game can't be developed in 2-3 years, it’s not considered worth the effort. The best showcase of Unreal Engine 5's potential, aside from Bodycam, has been the Matrix demo. Bodycam is one of the few games I've seen that truly leverages the engine’s capabilities, with features like photogrammetry that make the environments incredibly lifelike. You really can’t get more realistic than that.
