My screens are both 240 and I hit the target FPS , so have no need.

If your screen is limited to 60, then might as well keep it off because 60 is so easy to get and maintain. Otherwise just turn it on if you want graphical fidelity or if you tear. Otherwise it can be off and lower your settings - but tbh anything under 60 (even just 60) for this game pits one at a massive disadvantage
