Hello! I tried installing Lumafly to create an Archipelago game, but it wouldn't launch and kept crashing. I saw that I needed to revert to a previous version, which I did, but when I reopened Lumafly, I encountered a new problem. Does anyone know how I can fix this ? The message is the next :

"Unable to launch the game

Lumafly Version: 3.3.0.0

at System.Diagnostics.Process.GetProcessHandle(Int32 access, Boolean throwIfExited)

How to fix Installer Errors

  • Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
  • Make sure that the Installer isn't in your Downloads folder (Desktop or a folder on the same drive as your game install is best).
  • If the installer is in a .zip, then you must Extract it
  • Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator"
  • If Lumafly is automatically closing, you may be missing a system file to open it. This is currently easily fixed by running the older installer, Scarab once.
    • -# Note: it's recommended to use Lumafly overall, as Scarab has some long term issues that are fixed by Lumafly.

I've done all that correctly, but I'm still getting a similar error. And when I try to download the installer again, I get an .exe file directly. I've also checked that the file path is correct, but nothing works.

Are you able to launch the game in steam?

No, the game crashes just like before I reverted to a previous version.

The line System.Diagnostics.Process.Kill() means the launcher is trying to terminate The Hollow_knight.exe

Windows refused the operation (Accès refusé) , meaning the launcher didn’t have permission to kill that process.

There are a lot pf probable causes, But if you didn't have your game open when trying to open it with Lumafly it leaves one more likely than any other.

Lumably is trying to close the game when it's already closed. Just restart your computer and everything should work fine 👍
