Hey there, i have a really weird issue with my game. When i boot up my game it cycles through the menu like I'm holding up. When i manage to get into a save it forces me to move left. And when i try to go the other way nothing seems to happen. I tried launching my game vanilla and everything was fine. I have no clue what could be causing this. And yes, my controller is perfectly fine

Because one of them might be out of date
Check the out of date area first and uninstall any mods in there and/or turn them off

There aren't mods that would cause this afaik. This does sound like what happens if controller deadzone is an issue. It could also be Steam Inputs being weird
The simplest things would probably be to try restarting Steam (which usually fixes issues related to its input layer system)

ive tried using my controller wired and wireless, ive gone to gamepad tester and everything has always been fine

okay ive made some advancement, if i play the game keyboard only everything is fine, if i try using a wired controller absolutely no inputs work other than the pause menu, if i try using my controller wireless the menu scrolling and forced left movement start
this started randomly lasted night, ive played the game for over 50 hours on controller with no issues prior.
