So me and my friend are modding and trying to play together and we used fireborns video. I got the mods installed but idk how to connect with my friend

Common issues

  • If the Skin List is covering up other mods, you can toggle it with Del (or fn+Del on some configurations). You can edit this Keybind in the Custom Knight menu.
  • If your skin isn't working, go to Options > Mods > Custom Knight > Advanced > Fix My Skins. After this, you may need to use the Reload option in the previous menu.
    • Upgraded Dream Shield (UDS) breaks Custom Knight’s launching correctly the first time. To use both mods at the same time, you must disable UDS, open a save with only Custom Knight and wait until it stops lagging. You can then close the game and enable UDS again.
  • If you see lots of White Boxes ◻️, restart your game. You may also need to try applying skins in a small/empty room, like a stag station.
  • Make sure that you apply skins from the Pause Menu when you have your save file loaded. Skins applied from the Main Menu will only be used for new files.

HKMP (Hollow Knight Multiplayer)

How it works

HKMP puts a copy of each player into each other players world.
Enemies have separate health and will usually be in different places; Items/abilities must be collected separately; and Breakable objects must be broken by each player. Player attacks happen in each player's world, damaging any enemies/players it comes in contact with. A player is only hurt by the enemies in their own world. This page explains how you can use other mods and addons to synchronize some aspects, and improve your experience.

^ if you don't want to put effort into having a private game, then there's public server info there. If you do want to have a private game, then you'll need to take extra steps to setup a connection. You can learn about that by reading the Hosting section of the hkmp guide

For clarity:

  • 127.0.0.1 is only for the host.
  • If you are hosting a private game, you need to do something to create a connection between your computers. The guide covers multiple different ways to do this.

Sorry for my english, can i ask about hamachi software. Can i use Radmin instead?
