#Charms menu suddenly missing on specific save file

I've been playing hkmp on a new save file, and for the most part everything has been fine, but suddenly out of nowhere, I no longer had a charms menu. My charms are still equipped because I can see my location on the map with wayward compass, but the charms menu itself is completely absent.

I will include a link to a video demonstrating the issue below:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/11cHVhI8p8GvR1py45z0q85M7snHBZuzV/view?usp=sharing

I have tried disabling all mods and modding api, which did not fix the issue. I have played another save file with these same mods enabled, and it did not cause this issue.
Edit: I have tried using DebugCharms to give myself a charm in hopes of prompting the menu to return. The charm was added successfully, but the charm menu is still gone.

Here is a list of all mods enabled when the issue occured:
Benchwarp
DebugCharms
DebugMod
GhostHunter
HKMP
HkmpPouch
ItemChanger
ItemSync
MenuChanger
MultiWorldLib
QoL
Rando Vanilla Tracker
Randomizable Levers
Randomizer 4
RandomizerCore
RandomizerCore.Json
RandoSettingsManager
Satchel
Vasi

OS: Windows 11
Patch: 1.5.78.11833
Installer: Scarab
Platform: Steam

It looks like you gave yourself all charms and then removed them, I don’t think the charm menu appears when you have no charms (no clue why the compass effect is still present though)

#

The potential fix might be just giving yourself the charms you already had with DebugCharms

The giving myself all charms and then removing all charms happened while I was trying to figure out how to manually give myself Soul Catcher, since me and my partner got softlocked in Ancestral mound which resulted in us being locked out of the area with that charm.

#

I eventually figured out how to use DebugCharms, and the charm menu was definitely working after that, because I used it to verify that I had given myself the charm properly.

#

I probably should have mentioned this in the post, but my partner (who was using the exact same mods as me) doesnt have the missing charm menu issue, its only me.

Have you tried looking into the save file to see if the charm was actually added or giving yourself all charms again without using DebugCharms, since your issue might be related to it, the mod is pretty new so maybe it just has some bugs

When writing DebugCharms, I didn't specifically mess with inventory pages, so I don't know for sure how the base game handles it. I can take a look though

So you may need to just remove specific charms

Interesting, I didn't know that Remove All actually hid the charm page. Yeah DebugCharms doesn't add the page back, that's on me, I'll get an update out later tonight probably

I was able to fix all the charms and charm notches to be how to should be! Although another issue I noticed (and I'm not sure if I should make another support post for this) is that a lot of the charms notch costs are wrong, such as the wayward compass costing 2 notches instead of 1. There were tons of other examples I saw aswell when I added all charms...

Are you sure they were correct before? Since you’re using randomizer 4 you might’ve forgotten to disable randomize notch cost (or something like that)

Ooooooh that may be the case. What would be the easiest way of fixing this I wonder? I saw on another post that you can use the Charm Changer mod, but I'm guessing that will be a one-by-one process....

you could fix the notch costs by editing the save

Editing save files

You can edit various values of save files. Below are different available methods.

  • [MoreSaves Mod](<https://github.com/TheMulhima/MoreSaves/) | Install
    • With the MoreSaves mod installed, you can edit save files from the in-game Menu. Either from the Main Menu or Pause Menu, go to Options > Mods > MoreSaves to edit save files in game.
  • QoL mod | Install
    • If you open a save file with QoL installed, you'll have an extra file called user#.json (where # is the file number), which can be edited using Notepad or a similar text editor. If you do not know where your saves are located, type ?tag saves for more information
  • DebugMod | Install
    • While not an intended purpose, you can edit some parts of your save file using Debug, such as Nail Damage, and those changes will remain even after uninstalling the mod.
  • Website
    • Find the Save File, upload it to the website, and make the edits. It will Download as save file for Slot 1, so rename it if needed. If you do not know where your saves are located, type ?tag saves for more information

I'm using the MoreSaves mod to edit the save file, but I'm a bit confused. The charmCost options are labeled by number, not name, so I dont know which number corresponds with which charm. I know that 1 isn't wayward compass, because the menu lists it as costing 3 notches, when it costs 2 in game.
