I tried to force update the mod and fixed the skin itself but nothing seems to get it to work.

People cannot help you if they do not know all of what is going on.

Your post should include Useful Information, such as:

  • Detailed explanation (What is wrong, what have you tried, what are you expecting to happen, etc)
  • Screenshots of the issues / errors (How do I take screenshots?)
  • Post your Modlog.txt file if you're playing modded (this is found in your Save Files folder, which you can learn how to access by typing ?tag saves into chat)
  • What Operating System you are on (Windows / MacOS / Linux / Other)
  • What patch are you on (This should show on the main menu)
  • What Mod Installer you are using (Lumafly / Scarab / HKMM / ModInstaller1 / ModInstaller2 / Other)

Custom Knight

This is the mod for reskinning things in the game

Common issues

  • If the Skin List is covering up other mods, you can toggle it with Del. You can edit this Keybind in the Custom Knight menu.
  • If your skin isn't working, go to Options > Mods > Custom Knight > Advanced > Fix My Skins. After this, you may need to use the Reload option in the previous menu.
    • Upgraded Dream Shield (UDS) breaks Custom Knight’s launching correctly the first time. To use both mods at the same time, you must disable UDS, open a save with only Custom Knight and wait until it stops lagging. You can then close the game and enable UDS again.
  • If you see lots of White Boxes ◻️, restart your game. You may also need to try applying skins in a small/empty room, like a stag station.
  • Make sure that you apply skins from the Pause Menu when you have your save file loaded. Skins applied from the Main Menu will only be used for new files.

Afaik, there's not a "wings.png" in the normal skin files. That looks like an asset that the artist made for the wings cutscene, but

  • A. Again, I don't remember that being a file (you can double check the default skin to see if it's there)
  • B. The actual in-game wings from jumping is on one of the Knight sheets, I think the main one, Knight.png

If the artist didn't edit the wings on that sheet yet, then you won't see it happen when you jump

  • If a file is in the Default skin, then a file of the same name will replace it in a different skin
    • again, the image you're showing is specifically for the cutscene, not for the jump animation

The actual wings are in Wraith.png though I believe, which this skin doesn't have
