I downloaded HK from steam, version 1.5.78.11833 and downloaded scarab from github(windows)

What do you mean by "crashing"?

"ModLog.txt" can be found in the same folder as your save files (you can drag and drop the file into discord) :
Windows: %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight\
MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight/
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/

To easily get ModLog on Windows:

  • Press ⊞ + R
  • Copy and paste this into it %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight and hit "OK"
  • ModLog.txt is in this folder.

Note: ⊞ is the Windows button, in between Ctrl and Alt on your keyboard

Yeah, it looks like you're attempting to load more HKMP skins then your computer can handle

You need to remove skins from the folder.
You should probably coordinate with who you are playing with, and just use the skins you all want.

If you are playing in the public servers, then probably just pick ten skins to keep, but they probably won't end up matching others. (Generally, most skin packs use the same first 4 skins for consistency)
