Where do you have the file located? (Is it out of your downloads folder?) Also what platform do you have the game on?

How to fix Installer Errors

  • Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
  • Make sure that the Installer isn't in your Downloads folder (Desktop or a folder on the same drive as your game install is best).
  • If the installer is in a .zip, then you must Extract it
  • Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator"

Is it generating any error log? Would show up in the same place you have the installer
