__Common fixes for controller issues __
š¹ Toggle "Controller Native Input" in the game, found at Main Menu į
Options į
Controller. Restart your game after changing it.
š¹ Unplug your controller before launching the game, then plug it back in on the title screen
š¹ Use Steam's controller settings, enable Steam Inputs from the game properties, and check controller configuration support through Steam's Big Picture mode
š¹ Use a program to map controller inputs to keyboard inputs, either through Steam or a third party program

You can check if that helps. Given the fact that 1432 modding isn't supported anymore and that, as far as I know, you can't launch 32 bit apps on these macs without a virtual environment, downpatching is a lot of work just for that imo
Yeah, to add to this: afaik, all M1 Macs are 64 bit, so there's no reason to be using 1432

You must be on the correct patch!
š¹ For Scarab, you must change "Betas" to "None"
š¹ 1432 Modding (and ModInstaller) is no longer supported.
š¹ 1221 Modding does not use an installer; type "?tag 1221" for info on it.

Yeah it did launch and my controller did work with 32 bit version without a virtual environment... but i didn't know it didn't support mods thanks.
Beta is back to "none" and mods are reinstalled. Back to the controller issue... it stops working intermittently
not sure what else to try at this point

Is it a wireless controller?
"intermittently" messing up is usually a sign of a poor connection, such as a wireless controller being low on power
There's not really any other common issues that happen "intermittently". It'll usually only work or not work, so I'm not really sure what you tell you
