#(Please Help) Mouse cursor not working in menus

When I open the game the cursor cannot interact with anything on the main menu. The only way to navigate the menu is with the arrow keys. It wouldn't bother me that much but since the cursor is broken I can't use benchwarp or customize any mods(navigating the mod menu with the arrow keys breaks it) I'm using the steam version of hollow knight, on windows 11. There doesnt seem to be anything in the ModLog.txt either.
