#2027 - Cadillac: America's F1 Rebuild
1497 messages · Page 2 of 2 (latest)
Bottas past Bearman up to 5th, ahead of him now is Tsunoda and Verstappen, who is also reporting mechanical issues
Lap 9: Albon and Leclerc past Bottas, down to 7th and now under threat from Hadjar. Yeah this car isn't suitable for combat anymore.
Lap 10: Hadjar and Piastri past Bottas, down to 9th, while Perez is already down to 16th
Lap 12: Bearman past Bottas for 9th, how the f*ck is that possible?
Lap 13: Norris past Bottas into 10th, we're already outside the points... just end this misery
Lap 15: Russell and Ocon past Bottas, down to 13th, I swear I am going to have an aneurysm at some point
Lap 17: Another lap, another place gone, Hamilton past Bottas, down to 14th
Lap 21: Alonso pits from the lead, Leclerc now reporting a mechanical issue as well
And yet another place gone, Sainz past Bottas, down to net 14th (a few cars pit)
Lap 22: Verstappen now pits, and Bearman is 2nd?! Well, only lap 22, still has to pit anyway
Lap 23: Antonelli is now the net leader, Tsunoda in 4th reports that his problem is getting worse
Lap 24: Perez has managed to climb his way back to pass Bottas
He also managed to form enough of a gap that we can pit both cars this lap
Lap 25: Antonelli dropped back from the two Aston Martins, Alonso takes the lead from Leclerc, yet to pit
We exit 19th and 20th... it just keeps getting harder to find motivation to complete this season at this point
Lap 29: And to make matters even worse if it's not crisis mode already, Norris is up in 6th. If Russell and Hamilton could actually do something, they could catch him though
Lap 34: Perez and Bottas gained a few places to 14th and 16th, does it make a difference though?
Lap 37: And as if we didn't have enough problems, now we're even more in crisis, Perez's gearbox is deciding to fail, but we can't replace any component for either car because we have no f*cking money
Lap 39: Bottas' ERS is also fading, and Verstappen's car has completely packed up giving Norris 4th. Honestly I just can't at this point
Lap 43: Now EVEN MORE parts are fading, Bottas' engine this time, and now he's been passed by Hulkenberg down to 16th
We're pitting this lap, hards to the end
Lap 44: Now EVEN MORE parts are fading, Perez's engine is developing issues as well
And Leclerc's car is also almost giving way so he can't challenge Norris ahead
Lap 49: Perez's gearbox fault has progressed, as if we aren't already about to fall completely unstable by a fingernail
Lap 55: Leclerc's car has given way, giving Sainz another position in the points. You know, this is just all luck for Williams at this point
Lap 65: Now EVEN MORE parts are failing, Bottas' engine is letting go more
And the ERS followed suite
AND PEREZ'S GEARBOX IS NOW MAJOR AS WELL. Just, no
Lap 66: We've been lapped by Norris... I genuinely want to break something now
Lap 68: Perez's gearbox has gone, have to retire
Lap 70: Hamilton got past Norris, but Williams still score 16 points like the lucky frauds they are
Lap 71: As the cherry on top of this 💩 cake, Bottas ran out of fuel just before line

Lap 1: Bortoleto spins at the first few corners, we're up to 13th and 14th
Lap 4: Albon has developed a major car issue
Bortoleto spins again at turn 4 and taps the wall, a rough sprint for the Brazilian
Lap 12: Perez's ERS is going faulty, we're actually running out of powertrain parts that can't be replaced
Lap 13: Leclerc takes the lead from Alonso
Lap 14: Bottas' engine is also faulty, but still past Bearman up to 11th
Lap 18: Antonelli locks up and drops to 10th, bad news as Williams are now 7th and 8th as a result
Lap 21: Leclerc runs wide, Alonso and Tsunoda go through
Lap 23: Norris past Hamilton up to 5th, if Sainz also goes through, we officially lose 5th in the constructors due to that lucky 2nd in Singapore for them
Lap 24: Tsunoda takes the lead, but can he hang on down the final straight?

Championship requirements:
Alonso leads Verstappen by 98 points heading into the race, and there are a maximum of 108 points on offer in the final 4 races and 1 sprint. All Alonso has to do is finish 5th to claim the title here in Brazil.
Lap 1: It's a wet start, looking to be inter conditions for 3/4 of the race. Bottas past Norris up to 7th and Perez past Hadjar up to 9th
Lap 2: Hamilton takes the lead from Antonelli
Worth noting that 12 drivers started on used inters, so when they pit they might not have any new sets left for the 2nd stint
Lap 6: An Interlagos classic: Everyone wears out their intermediate tires. The highest percent of tire the AI are on is 87% (Hamilton and Zhou), both Perez and Bottas are on 91%
The lowest is Sainz at 79% already, he's running 113 degree celsius tires
Lap 7: Bottas past Ocon into 6th
Lap 8: The difference is quite drastic now
Lap 9: Norris overtook Ocon and Bottas and ran instantly, not much we can do other than hope the tire wear hits hard
Lap 15: Perez's ERS is already going faulty again, this is the worst time for this to happen now. It also has to be examined after the race, so there's one of his ERS gone
He's also been passed by Tsunoda and Verstappen down to 11th
Lap 19: Antonelli is the first of the leaders to pit, I think most the AI might be doing 3 stoppers
Verstappen spins at the first corner, Perez back past him after also passing Ocon
Lap 20: Perez's engine is also going on strike with a drivability issue, and also examined after the race. Passed by Ocon
Lap 21: Then re-passes Ocon and runs with it, tire wear difference in action
Lap 24: Hamilton pits from the lead, Piastri also pits
We are yet to pit, but as a result, Bottas now leads the race
Antonelli undercut Hamilton but there is a massive tire offset between them
Lap 25: Perez's engine fault has worsed, surprising he's still in 4th, also yet to pit but still
Speaking of, we're pitting this lap, another set of inters
Lap 26: We exit 8th and 10th, still in the points but hoping that our 1 less stop will gain us a few places later on
Lap 27: Perez is defending really well from championship protagonists Alonso and Verstappen, I've slowed him down to increase their gap to the cars in front, namely Bottas
Lap 28: The gap went from 3 to 5.5 seconds to the next car after Verstappen passed Perez, that went really well there
Lap 32: Perez did what he could, but he is dropping like a stone due to these car issues and is now down to 15th and under pressure from Ocon
And now down to 16th
Lap 39: Hamilton now under a second behind Antonelli for the race lead
Lap 40: Bottas now has his own drivability issue, even when things go our way, unreliability just strikes
Perez is down to 18th now, his issues are really bad
Lap 42: Perez spins and drops to 19th behind Lawson
Lap 43: Hamilton re-takes the lead from Antonelli
Russell in 3rd is 14 seconds behind, so it's looking like it's those two for the win
Lap 45: Hamilton has developed an issue! Is this going to hamper his race against Antonelli?
Alonso past Bottas, down to 10th
Lap 54: Track is considered dry, and Sainz gets a puncture! Time to switch to slicks
Lap 56: Perez changed to mediums and immedieatly locked up out of the pits
Everyone is on mediums bar Norris on softs
Lap 57: Leclerc past Bottas, there's no use trying to fight back
Lap 61: Bottas' issue has worsened, this really isn't getting taken away from us, is it?
Lap 67: Albon past Bottas, it really has been stolen from us, f*ck
Lap 69: Sainz past Bottas, down to 12th. Just more and more problems mounting every single race weekend
Lap 70: Russell locks up into turn 1 and loses time to Tsunoda in the battle for 3rd

Main Highlights:
Hamilton finally wins for Ferrari and his first win of the season
Antonelli gets 3rd podium of the season
Alonso comes back from 21st to take 6th
Worst of all, we've lost 5th in the constructors 😔
Fernando Alonso wins 2026 Drivers Title
After multiple near misses and many, many horribly unlucky seasons, Fernando Alonso has finally won his 3rd drivers championship 20 years after his 2nd title in 2006. This has become the longest streak between championships in F1 history. Aston Martin nailed the 2026 regulation changes and Alonso has used it to perfection, beating out even Max Verstappen with 3 rounds left and almost a 100 point lead.

10. 🇫🇮 Valtteri Bottas, 74 points (Cadillac)
11. 🇲🇽 Sergio Perez, 60 points (Cadillac) - 🇪🇸 Carlos Sainz, 40 points (Williams)
- 🇹🇭 Alexander Albon, 21 points (Red Bull)
- 🇬🇧 Oliver Bearman, 4 points (Haas)
- 🇫🇷 Esteban Ocon, 3 points (Haas)
- 🇩🇪 Nico Hulkenberg, 0 points (Audi)
- 🇫🇷 Isack Hadjar, 0 points (Red Bull)
- 🇳🇿 Liam Lawson, 0 points (Racing Bulls)

- 🇧🇷 Gabriel Bortoleto, 0 points (Audi)
- 🇫🇷 Pierre Gasly, 0 points (Alpine)
- 🇨🇳 Zhou Guanyu, 0 points (Alpine)
Bad news:
Bottas is out of healthy engines, all of them have faults. All we can do is try to get to the end of the season and finish the races, but if we are at risk of completely blowing up all 3 of them, we must "withdraw" him from the rest of the races after so.

The board asked to view this race before the weekend. Yeah with how many problems we have right now, I quite immediately declined that, would like to keep board confidence high
Lap 2: Bortoleto spun and almost clipped Perez's front wing
Lap 8: Bottas' first faulty engine has already died, have to retire
Lap 9: Hamilton locks up into turn 1 and falls outside of the points
Lap 11: In response to Bottas' car dying, Perez's car has decided to try and follow with a gearbox problem. Looks temporary though
Lap 12: LECLERC AND VERSTAPPEN ARE OUT, RED FLAG!
Tsunoda took the lead just before then
Lap 16: Perez gained 3 places off the restart but the gearbox fault is still there and showing it's presence by losing a position
Lap 17: VSC, Sainz out
Lap 18: The fault has worsened, it ain't temporary, they lied
Perez is currently P13 but I don't think it's going to last for long
And immediately after a major ERS fault appears as well
Lap 20: Already down to 18th and last, this is only getting worse
Lap 23: Bearman and Gasly have developed mechanical issues as well, even in cold weather these cars cannot help themselves
Lap 24: For the first time this season, Audi are running the points, Hulkenberg past Ocon up to 10th
Lawson is also in 8th for Racing Bulls, their first points running this season as well
Lap 29: Ocon tapped the wall in turn 2 and damages the car, he might be out of points contention now
Antonelli takes the lead from both Aston Martins
Lap 31: Alonso and Antonelli pit, how do the others at the front respond?
Lap 34: Piastri now leads a McLaren 1-2, for now
Lap 37: Piastri and Norris pit, they'll be looking to chase down Alonso who has the oldest tires of anyone in the net top 5
Lap 38: Russell pits, but I think it's a bit too late now
Alonso re-takes the lead
Lap 39: Antonelli hits the same wall as Ocon did earlier, might have cost him a chance at a win
Lap 44: We've got the two Racing Bulls' fighting for the final points place, will become for 9th once they pass Hulkenberg who for some reason didn't pit
Iwasa 9th, Lawson 10th
Hulkenberg only now pits, you ruined that one quite badly Audi
Lap 47: Lawson past Iwasa for 9th, but they're still within a second of each other
Lap 50: Hulkenberg somehow overturned an entire pit stop deficet to the Racing Bulls and has now joined their fight for 9th place

Main Highlights:
Alonso wins 9th race of the season
Iwasa comes back from dead last to take 9th and first points in F1
Racing Bulls overtake Audi for 9th in the constructors standings
Aston Martin win 2026 Constructors Championship
After Fernando Alonso won the drivers championship in Brazil, Aston Martin have done the double with a follow up constructors championship wrap up in Las Vegas. There was initial competition from Mercedes, but come the end, the Silverstone based team are mostly untouchable, ending, as of after the Las Vegas Grand Prix, 174 points ahead of Mercedes. Despite Yuki Tsunoda's atrocious luck with tons of reliability issues, he still managed to contribute a decent share of Aston Martin's points and is still in the fight for 4th in the drivers standings.
If anything, this shows we have a lot of work to do to get into the fight for championships with Aston Martin

Lap 1: Iwasa locked up and clipped Bortoleto into turn 1
There's actually some differing strategies unlike other sprints:
Our drivers, Tsunoda, Hamilton, and Norris are on softs
Antonelli, Piastri, and Russell are on hards
Everyone else is on mediums
Lap 9: We're on the back of Bortoleto for 17th, passed Zhou a few laps ago
Lap 10: Bottas' second ERS has gone faulty, I think that if one fails because they're both on major faults, we might have to "withdraw" him from the final 2 races (basically retire him on lap 1 and don't run in practice and qualifying)
Lap 11: Despite this, both cars past Bortoleto up to 17th and 18th, next car is Lawson
Leclerc has also developed his own car issue
Lap 16: Albon also reporting a car issue and Tsunoda as well, I think this is the worst counts of car failures in any save on this game I've had, at least 6 cars develop faults every weekend.
Lap 18: Perez's ERS is impending a failure, we don't have to retire though as it's only battery related
Lap 19: Perez past Lawson up to 16th despite the ERS failure

Lap 3: Alonso takes the lead and both Aston Martins build 2 and a half seconds to Antonelli
Perez down to 17th, Bottas down to 18th
Lap 7: Perez up to 16th as Zhou is unusually slow, even for an Alpine. Bottas down to 20th though
Lap 8: Alonso built a gap of 1.8 seconds to Tsunoda in 2nd who is 7 seconds ahead of 3rd, so the main battle there is between Russell and Antonelli, maybe Leclerc and Verstappen as well
Lap 9: Bottas past Zhou up to 19th
Lap 11: Verstappen past Leclerc and Antonelli, now sets his sights on Russell for 3rd
Lap 14: Tsunoda first of the leaders to pit
Lap 18: Russell and Antonelli pit, and they are a long way behind Tsunoda, Aston Martin once again looking untouchable
Lap 19: Alonso pits from the lead, and it's really slow on the car release! He exits 8 seconds behind Tsunoda as a result
Lap 20: We pit this lap, 2 stopper
And Bottas' ERS has shut down
Lap 23: Tsunoda leads, but has a big tire offset to Alonso, he's gaining a second a lap on his teammate
Lap 26: Alonso forces his way down the inside into turn 1 but makes it stick, he now leads again
Safety car deployed, Gasly stopped in the middle of the road due to total engine failure
And it's at a point where the Aston Martins passed the pit lane onto the next lap, but the safety car came out of the pit lane to pick them up. This gives Verstappen and co behind the chance to pit and close the gap while the Aston Martins weren't able to pit
Lap 27: Aston Martin now pit both cars, but with the safety car train forming up, they're now 9th and 11th, disaster timing there
Lap 29: Only Leclerc, Norris, Perez, and Bottas didn't pit because our strategies were screwed by this safety car
Lap 30: Safety car ended, Bottas barely caught up to the safety car train
Lap 31: Hulkenberg didn't give room to Perez and now we have front wing damage
Lap 34: Perez already down to 15th from 12th at the restart, with all of these mechanical issues and front wing damage, we are now 3 seconds a lap slower than anyone else
Lap 36: Perez down to 17th and now with a gearbox problem, Iwasa who is 33 seconds behind might actually catch us with all of these issues
Lap 40: We pit for the 2nd stop
Lap 42: More gearbox issues for Perez
Lap 44: Antonelli has his own car issue, and Perez's ERS has also shut down
Lap 47: Bottas' engine has died, have to retire this time
Perez's engine has now developed it's own problem as well, all 3 car parts having mechanical issues, first time I've seen it in action
Lap 49: Verstappen and the rest pit a few laps ago, but Alonso stayed out and I think is going to try to go the end, I don't know if he can hang on to the lead though
Bearman and Hulkenberg involved in a collision at turn 1, the Audi sustaining major wing damage and has to pit
Bearman awarded a 5 second time penalty
Lap 50: Alonso is losing 3 seconds a lap to Verstappen, the gap is already 1.2 seconds
Lap 51: Verstappen came from so far back on the straight to re-take the lead of the race
Lap 52: Yet another Tsunoda mechanical issue, I've lost count of how many he's had this season, probably more than a dozen at least
Lap 57: Russell and Antonelli past Alonso, the Aston Martin's tires are on 16%
Never mind it just popped, Alonso has a puncture, can he even stay in the points now?

Gasly's car on fire, the most smoke I've seen in an F1M game
I have to make this decision for Abu Dhabi tomorrow
Cadillac to not race in Abu Dhabi
With their known late season financial struggles and lack of components, Cadillac have decided to not race at the final round of the season at Abu Dhabi in order to preserve what they have left (spoiler: not a lot).
"We've had no prize money because it's our first season, and Sergio and Valtteri's contracts have put our monthly balance into the red, so sponsor targets are the only thing keeping us running and me in my job position here. With no money came a multitude of problems like our car drastically went downhill to the point where we lost 5th in the constructors, our facilities need refurbishing, we can't afford to replace powertrain components, etc. We have been able to do something with a car, but we've definitely been hampered, especially now where we might run out of useable powertrain parts for sessions if we were to race": Cadillac team principal on the situation.
This will be the first time an officially entered team has been unable to race in a grand prix since 2014

Lap 2: Verstappen and Tsunoda fighting hard for the lead of the race
Lap 3: Russell locks up into turn 4 and drops from 4th to 8th
Lap 4: Tsunoda dives down the inside into turn 9 and takes the lead from Verstappen
Lap 6: Verstappen re-takes the lead at the hotel section
Still a 3 way battle between Verstappen, Tsunoda, and Alonso
Lap 7: Aston Martin are giving Alonso a chance to attack Verstappen, they swap places
Lap 8: Alonso now leads the race
Lap 10: Albon and Bearman make contact at the hotel section, Ocon goes through on his teammate for 12th
Lap 11: Tsunoda passes both Verstappen and Alonso to re-take the lead of the race, this is a great battle early on
Lap 15: Alonso re-took the lead from his teammate and built a 2 second gap in front
Lap 17: Seems like Aston Martin played a team game with Tsunoda holding up Verstappn before he pit, the gap increased from 2 to 4 seconds
Lap 19: Verstappen pits, does Alonso react or is he trying a 1 stop?
Lap 21: Wait, where's Piastri come from? He's past Tsunoda up to 2nd and the net race lead
Lap 25: Alonso is still going, so he is 100% trying a 1 stop
And now he pits, hard tires to the end
Lap 30: Tsunoda spins! He drops to 3rd behind Verstappen
Lap 32: Verstappen takes the lead, Alonso past Russell up to 6th, 11 seconds behind the leaders
Lap 39: Alonso past Leclerc and Antonelli before they pit, 9.5 seconds behind Verstappen
Lap 44: Verstappen pits, he was 5.7 seconds ahead of Alonso so he's got a lot of work to do to overturn the gap, but he's held for a backmarker and loses time!
Lap 45: It's Piastri and Tsunoda fighting for 2nd but with a bullseye in front them of Alonso, they have 10 seconds to gain
Lap 48: The gap has already come down to 5.4 seconds led by Tsunoda, Verstappen's now joining this battle as well
He's past Piastri up to 3rd, with 6 seconds to Alonso and 3 seconds to Tsunoda
Lap 52: Alonso has developed a mechanical issue! That gap is going to start going down again
Lap 53: Verstappen and Tsunoda have caught up to Alonso, the race leader is in big trouble
Lap 56: Alonso isn't going down without a fight though, he's re-passed Verstappen twice down into turn 9
Lap 58: Verstappen took the lead, Alonso tried to re-pass into turn 9, but it got covered off

Hertz Team Jota inspired livery for season 2
Pre-Australia:
We managed to get chassis, underfloor, and sidepods upgrades with the time we had, and our high speed cornering is looking decent. We didn't have time for wing upgrades though so low speed is again a weakness of our car just like last year, but we should have a front wing ready for the next round.

Bottas overtaken by Tsunoda, down to 5th
In order: Albon, Leclerc, Russell, Tsunoda, Bottas, Stroll, Perez
Lap 7: Russell past Leclerc and Albon to re-take the lead
By the way, his teammate Hadjar is down in 17th
Bottas past Tsunoda back up to 4th
Lap 9: Bottas past Leclerc and Albon up to 2nd! Russell ran away with a 3 second lead though
Lap 11: Albon was forced wide by Tsunoda, so everyone 6th and below (including Perez) lost 2.5 seconds to the rest up front
Lap 16: Perez past Albon and Stroll up to 5th
Lap 17: For 2nd, it's a 3 way battle between Tsunoda, Bottas, and Leclerc
Albon and Piastri make contact! It was going so well for Red Bull until then
Seems like Piastri tried to pit but Albon was still there, Piastri came out of the pits with the broken front wing
Albon awarded a 5 second penalty
Lap 18: Bottas pitting this lap, Perez is on a different strategy due to avaliable tires
Leclerc also pits, and has a huge delay on the jack up! Bottas regains the place
Lap 20: Perez now pitting this lap
Strategies are:
Perez: M-S-H
Bottas: M-M-H
Lap 21: Perez lost a place to Norris in the pits, exits 10th for now
Lap 22: Ferrari played some cheeky tactics to get Leclerc past Bottas by using Hamilton to hold us up before he pit
Lap 23: This Bottas-Leclerc battle is still going on by the way
Everyone has done a pit stop at this point, Bottas 2nd and Perez 7th
Lap 26: Leclerc managed to get away, Bottas now battling for 3rd with Norris and Tsunoda
Lap 28: Bottas down to 5th, but still in the battle for 3rd. Perez past Stroll up to 6th
Lap 31: Tsunoda got away, but Norris is still there. I'm still a little bitter about Williams taking 5th from us last season so this is an important battle to win now
Lap 33: Bearman awarded a 5 second penalty for contact with Antonelli
Perez pitting this lap, last stop of his strategy, Bottas pitting soon
Lap 34: I'm going to pit Bottas a lap earlier than planned to try and get a massive undercut on Norris
Lap 38: Norris pits, hoping the undercut will work, but Albon is being a bit of a pest
We have about a 4 second gap, now to build up resources to defend for when he comes back
Lap 41: Norris and Stroll have caught up to us, we are currently 5th and 6th, Tsunoda and Verstappen are yet to pit for the 2nd time
Lap 44: Tsunoda pit and came out a few seconds ahead of the battle for 5th, so when Verstappen pits, the maximum position we can achieve here is 4th
Lap 46: Verstappen pits, and looking where we are on the track map compared to him, we are definitely not getting close to him
Perez now 6th behind Norris, Bottas down to 8th after being passed by Stroll
Lap 47: Perez overtook Norris, but Stroll overtook both of them, still 6th and 8th
Lap 49: Leclerc caught up to Russell and is fighting for the lead! Have Ferrari found something over the winter break?
Lap 53: Perez overtook Norris back up to 6th
Many battles are occurring on track:
Leclerc and Russell fighting for 1st
Verstappen and Tsunoda fighting for 3rd
Stroll, Norris, Perez, and Bottas fighting for 5th
Piastri and Sainz fighting for 10th
Lap 55: Stroll dropped 2 places to Norris and Perez, Perez back up to 6th
Lap 57: Using everything we have now, Perez past Norris up to 5th, Bottas trying to get past for 6th
Lap 58: Bottas past Norris up to 6th, this was an important race to finish ahead of both Williams', we are back and swinging

Lap 2: We stay where we are for now, Verstappen is running with it from Sainz with a 1.7 second gap already
Lap 3: Bottas dropped 3 places to 11th, Perez dropped 1 place to 17th, Stroll past Sainz up to 2nd
Lap 6: Piastri's been climbing up the order lately, he's now past Stroll up to 2nd
Bottas back past both Haas' up to 9th, can we get back to the points though?
Lap 7: Stroll back past Piastri and also goes through on Verstappen to lead?!
(What the f*ck is going on?)
My power decided to go on strike and now I have to restart, events above are now invalid
Restart
Lap 2: Bottas up to 7th, Perez up to 14th after Hulkenberg spun
Lap 4: Stroll takes the lead from Verstappen, again, hopefully this doesn't cause my power to go out again
Lap 6: Perez past Hadjar up to 13th and in the train that Bottas leads up in 7th
Lap 7: Russell past Bottas, down to 8th
Lap 8: Leclerc now takes the lead
Lap 10: Stroll re-took the lead and built a 2 second gap to Leclerc and Verstappen
Lap 11: Perez past Bearman up to 12th, but Norris past Bottas, down to 9th
Lap 12: Perez past Ocon up to 11th
Lap 13: Leclerc re-takes the lead and has a 2 second gap in front
Lap 15: Piastri past Stroll up to 2nd, looking to go after Leclerc for the lead now
Lap 16: Perez past Hamilton up to 10th, but we're still stuck behind Sainz and Antonelli, Norris is getting away
Piastri takes the lead from Leclerc
Lap 17: Bottas past Antonelli up to 8th, now to chase after the Williams'
Lap 18: Leclerc re-takes the lead, Perez past Antonelli up to 9th
Bottas overtook both Williams' in one go, now for Perez to follow through onto the last lap
Lap 19: Perez also through on both Williams', mission success this sprint

Lap 2: Both cars past Verstappen up to 8th and 9th, the Mercedes is weirdly off the pace at the start
Contrast to Antonelli in the other Mercedes who's overtaken both McLarens into the lead
Lap 3: Bottas put a huge divebomb on Norris and Stroll, passing both of them up to 6th
Lap 5: Perez past Norris up to 8th
Bottas past Leclerc up to 5th. Bottas 3.0, maybe?
Lap 7: Piastri takes the lead, Perez past Stroll up to 7th
Lap 8: Bottas back down to 6th, still within reach of Leclerc though
(Speaking of Ferrari, Hamilton is still down in 19th)
Lap 13: Antonelli is rapidly falling behind from the McLarens and Leclerc caught Tsunoda, we might actually be in a battle for the last podium spot
Lap 14: Perez and Bottas past Antonelli and Tsunoda pits, we're up to 4th and 5th now led by Perez
Tsunoda isn't a threat now, he's had contact with Hadjar and broke his front wing
Hadjar given a 5 second penalty for that incident
Lap 18: Perez past Leclerc up to 3rd
Piastri pits, make that 2nd
Lap 20: Leclerc pits, we're going to react with both cars next lap
Lap 21: Smooth stops, and our pit stop times have already gone down by 3-4 tenths from last season
We don't stay ahead of Leclerc though, in fact he's more than a second away
Lap 22: Russell, Verstappen, and Stroll are yet to pit, I think they might be trying one stoppers
Lap 25: Russell pits, and it's the hard tires, they are indeed trying one stoppers
Bottas caught up to Perez, I don't know whether to let him through to try and go after Leclerc or not
Lap 26: Verstappen now pits, just Stroll remaining who needs to stop
We're going to try with Bottas to catch Leclerc, Perez won't fight him for now
Lap 27: Stroll pits, the last of the one stoppers and the group we need to catch once we do our second stops
Lap 31: We haven't really managed to catch Leclerc, but what we did has prevented us from losing time to Russell behind
Lap 32: In fact, Leclerc takes the lead from Piastri, maybe weren't going to catch him anyway
Lap 33: VSC, Iwasa out, perfect time to pit our cars
Piastri pits, but Leclerc doesn't, and neither will any of the three one stoppers, nor Antonelli and Norris either, this is very odd no one is taking this opportunity to pit now
Lap 35: VSC ended, our second stint charge begins
Lap 38: Hamilton is finally into the points, it took him this long
Lap 40: Bottas past Norris as Antonelli pits, up to 6th
Lap 41: Leclerc pits for softs, Bottas comes out ahead, but only by 2 seconds
Lap 45: Bottas past Stroll, but Leclerc past both of them, so still 5th
Perez is 7th a few seconds back
Lap 47: Hulkenberg, in 19th, passed Stroll and unlapped himself, then let him back through again. Gets us time though
Lap 49: Perez past Stroll up to 6th
Lap 55: Bottas past Verstappen up to 4th, Russell is only 4 seconds ahead in 3rd

Pit Lane:
🇩🇪 Nico Hulkenberg (Audi)
Lap 1: The McLarens trade places, Bottas past Stroll up to 6th, Perez lost a place to Hamilton down to 15th
Lap 4: Piastri takes the lead, Tsunoda and Albon past Bottas, down to 8th, Hadjar past Perez, down to 16th
Lap 7: Bottas past Albon back up to 7th
Lap 9: Antonelli re-takes the lead, Perez past Hadjar up to 15th
Lap 14: Verstappen goes wide, gets floor damage and drops to 15th behind Perez
Lap 16: Bottas is somehow only 4.8 seconds behind the leader, which is now Piastri
He goes through on Tsunoda up to 5th (Leclerc pit)
Lap 18: Antonelli pits, and it's really slow on the car release, that might have cost him big time
Lap 19: Aston Martin double stack led by Stroll, Tsunoda has a problem removing the rear right
Lap 20: VSC, Gasly out at Spoon curve
Perfect timing for us, we were 3rd and 6th
Lap 21: Bottas had a slow stop, but still exits 5th behind Antonelli and Stroll, Perez exits 12th
Lap 22: Hamilton locks up at the final chicane immediately off the VSC restart
He drops to 16th, it's been a horrid start to the season for the other Ferrari
Lap 23: Leclerc past Bottas, down to 6th
Lap 24: The McLarens still haven't pitted, I think they're trying a one stop, the only ones to even think about it
Lap 26: Leclerc past Antonelli and is now looking to catch Stroll for 3rd
Perez overtaken by Albon, down to 13th
Lap 28: Leclerc past Stroll up to 3rd, he is now the net leader once the McLarens pit
Lap 29: The McLarens do pit, and it's soft tires? What are they playing at?
Lap 30: Perez past Albon and Ocon up to 11th
Lap 32: Stroll past Leclerc, and I never thought I'd say this, into the lead of the race
Tsunoda past Bottas, down to 5th
Lap 36: Leclerc and Antonelli pit, looks like an undercut on Stroll
Lap 37: Tsunoda pits, we're pitting next lap
Lap 38: We pit, along with Stroll
Bottas exits 8th, Perez exits 12th
Lap 40: Piastri leads Russell by 3 seconds, but Antonelli and Leclerc are on fresh tires another 6 seconds back
Lap 43: Perez got into the points, then Hamilton overtook him for 10th
Lap 45: The McLarens are now battling for the lead, but the gap to Leclerc is now just 3.6 seconds
Lap 48: Russell takes the lead, Leclerc now just 2.2 behind
Lap 50: PIastri re-takes the lead, but Leclerc is now within striking distance of both McLarens
Lap 51: McLaren have 35% and 34% soft tires on their cars, can they even get to the end without a puncture now?
Lap 53: Russell tried a move in turn 1, but Piastri covered it off
Perez past Norris and Hamilton up to 9th
