#

Lap 19: Antonelli pit (bit late considering it looks like rain starts lap 24), Isack is in the lead but Norris is challenging it

#

Lap 29: the rain was a lot later than we thought, it's not wet conditions yet but Victor's tyres can't hold out

#

Lap 30: Leclerc jumped Isack in the pits, he emerges P6, Victor P7

#

Make that P8 as Vesti gets past on the out lap

#

Lap 31: everyone has pit now, somehow it's a Ferrari 2-3, Isack P4

#

Lap 34: Lawson gets past Victor, our car was not made for the wet

#

Lap 37: lawson fumbles and gives the place back

#

Lap 39: Lawson comes back and takes it back

#

Lap 42: Isack gets Hamilton for P3

#

We have tyre advantage because it's quite hot still, I bet the AI are struggling to handle it

#

Lap 47: time to box again, Isack P9 Victor P12, we're one of the first to pit

#

Lap 53: it's wet, but dry enough for DRS, unfortunately the Ferraris can make better use of it, Isack P6

#

And Victor is upset to see Lawson is where he was as they fight for P10

#

Lap 56: Vesti hasn't pit and is running on horrible tyres, Isack gets by, free P4

#

Nevermind hamilton gets by next turn

#

Lap 58: hamilton pushed off Isack, into Verstappen's clutches

#

Lap 61: Verstappen pushes Isack off the same way

#

But Isack gets it back next lap

#

Verstappen's engine was pushed too far and it blew up on the last lap

#

After being the only one to not pit again, Lando Norris wins

#

Shame about Isack but well done Victor for recovering that, Verstappen's DNF does wonders to the championship

#

The Red Bull teams are tied for the lead, and we're close behind

#

Austria next race

unborn stratus
#

Austria time - we didn't do well on Friday here, hopefully it improves the next two days

#

Light medium is the play here

#

The turn 1 curse goes to both Alpines, Briatore is mad

#

The turn 3 curse goes to Bearman

#

And we get through all the mess to reach P7 and P9 at the first lap

#

Mak that 7-8

#

Lap 2: Antonelli get turn 4'd, 6-7

#

Lap 9: Lawosn got turn 3'd 2 laps ago, so getting past him is basically free

#

And Vesti spun, to the back he goes

#

Lap 12: Isack gets turn 1'd, down to P8

#

Before he and Victor were competing with hamilton and Norris for a podium place

#

Lap 15: Victor get turn 1'd too, down to P6, just ahead of Isack P7

#

Lap 16: Bottas doesn't turn at the first turn, to the back he goes

#

Lap 20: we caught back up a bit, hunting down Leclerc for P4

#

Lap 22: as Antonelli got past us... Lawson pulled over and triggered a safety car... weird...

#

Max Verstappen wins

#

It's still pretty good damage limitation for us, the Ferraris aren't a threat and somehow Russell came second

unborn stratus
#

Isack qualified very well in a main quali where Norris took pole

#

It'll start rainy then go dry, these are default strats I'll experiment when I know when the rain will stop

#

Bottas gets turn 1'd

#

Isack stays P3 but Victor gets P11

#

make that P10, Maloney gets turn 1'd lap 2

#

Victor is on a charge, P9 lap 3

#

Lap 4: Isack got turn 1'd but was safe from losing more than 1 position after a VSC was triggered by Doohan crashing out

#

He hit Bottas, who can still continue

#

Lap 6: Sainz went straight into the back of Russell when we resterted, both damaged badly but still in

#

As the track goes damp, Isack is P2 and Victor P10

#

Lap 7: Victor gets the better of Hulkenberg for P9

#

Lap 9: Isack gets turn 1'd again dropping to P6, why does this only happen to me when it isn't lap 1?

#

Never mind, Lawson got turn 1'd, Victor P8

#

Lap 20: Isack is recovering well, P4 already

#

Lap 30: rain stopped, I thought about it and decided on this as a strat

#

Lap 31: Isack is the first to pit, emerges P12

#

Victor pits lap 32 and emerges just behind Isack, not many chose to pit for some reason

#

Lap 34: after everyone pit, we're P3 and P5, fighting Hamilton, I'd say they went well

#

Lap 36: Bottas has been at the back for ages, he gives up and parks

#

Lap 39: Isack has cleared Hamilton, just Victor to go

#

Lap 48: Vctor's front left is very slow, he pits and emerges P6

#

Lap 49: Isack pits and emerges P5

#

Lap 56: most drivers are on hards to the end it seems, it's okay, we can catch up

#

Final 15 laps later, this took longer than I thought it would and I have a meeting to go to

unborn stratus
#

We back, we rejoin with 15 laps to go, Isack P4 just clear of Leclerc, Victor P6

#

Lap 60: Victor got past Leclerc for P4 (terrible grass quality tho)

#

And Liam Lawson puts it in the wall turn 1, he's out

#

Piastri parks while the VSC is up

#

Lap 64: Maloney was doing so well, only one place behind Norris... then he parked

#

Lap 66: Victor clears Leclerc, P5 secured

#

As Isack looks to Hamilton for P3

#

Lap 68: thanks to Sainz, Victor is clear of Hmailton

#

Victor almost got past Hamilton on the last lep, but Stroll had other plans

#

Max Verstappen wins

#

What was a pretty crazy race come to think of it

#

Red Bull get away in the standings

#

Next race: Hungary

unborn stratus
#

In the Austrian paddock we've been hearing a new name as a potential future F1 star: Freddie Slater
Over the past two months, Slater's performances have been quite stellar wherever he's raced, catching the attention of the team principals... will any make a move for him over the summer?
He's been linked to a McLaren seat especially, but will have competition with Norris, who they're bound to want to keep, and their reserve Arvid Lindblad, who's clearly faster than Maloney in tests (it's not a high bar, but still)
If McLaren aren't interested, Ferrari may need a replacement for a potentially retiring Hamilton, or will we see him next in line at the revolving door of Red Bull?

unborn stratus
#

Hungary time? Good Friday, but Saturday leaves us... who wrote this script? Hungary for more

#

The Hungarian strat looks like this

#

We gain 1 each at the start for a 6-8

#

Lap 4: Stroll hits the back of Doohan, causing some damage

#

Lap 5: Isack passes Vesti for P4

#

Lap 6: Vesti must be struggling as many cars, including Victor, pass him too

#

Lap 11: most soft runners are suffering by now, making them easy targets for us

#

Lap 23: perfect double stack, Isack P9 Victor P13, only Antonelli ahead hasn't pit, it sounds bad but we're going attack at the end

#

Lap 27: getting past Norris is unbelievably hard for Isack

#

And Victor... we don't talk about Victor

#

Lap 32: after 9 laps behind, finally Isack gets past

#

Lap 34: Doohan crashes into a wall and he's out

#

lap 51: we pit again, Isac P8 Victor P10, on a set we cna burn to go fast, let's do this

#

Lap 62: the plan was a lot better in my head, Victor secured P7, Isack is fighting Norris for P5

#

Lap 64: Isack clears to Norris and goes after Hamilton

#

Lap 65: Vesti brushes a lapped Sauber and hits a wall, conveniently times safety car again after Verstappen and Hamilton were on dying tyres

#

Max Verstappen wins under safety car totally not rigged

#

Aside from that, more weirdness comes in the form of Alpine points and two drivers setting the fastest lap (Leclerc gets the point, probably because he finishes higher or set it first, not sure)

#

This race sucked for us though - Red Bull, Racing Bulls and Ferrari outscored us

unborn stratus
#

It's Monaco time - unfortunately we dodn't do as well in quali as we'd like...

#

...especially since it plans to be wet

#

Can I just point out that, if you look at the marshalls at the sides, no umbrellas, no coats, no ponchos, no nothing, they're hard

#

We are now much better in the wet tho - Isack takes the lead, Victor P9

#

Make that P7 by turn 1, such a charge

#

Lap 2: Vesti hit a wall, then tsunoda hit him, both still in

#

Lap 3 turn 1: the charge continues for Victor, P5 already

#

P3 looks to be out best position...

#

and in P2 is Hulkenberg, who I haven't seen at the front for a while

#

Lap 7: pitting for wets time, Jumped by Verstappen and Antonelli, of course - Isack P3 Victor P9 out of those on wets

#

Lap 14: Russell lost his front wing under a bridge

#

Lap 16: Inter time again, Isack P4 Victor P...16? How did this happen?

#

Lap 24: Doohan puts it in the wall turn 1, out he goes

#

Lap 34: time for more wets - Isack P3 Victor P16, but very few have pit so far

#

Lap 58: Inter weather again, though only we are going for it...? Anyway, isack P3 and Victor is P10 now

#

Lap 63: Vesti, in last, crashes out to trigger a VSC, I was 2 seconds a lap faster, the AI are conspiring against me

#

Lap 65: the weather went wet again the moment the really long VSC ended, this game is 100% plotting against me

#

Isack stays P3 but Victor drops to P11

#

Lap 69: Sainz parks

#

Of course Verstappen wins

#

And Victor never got past Bearman

#

Verstappen now outscores us... I'm going to say it's a two seasoner, I'm focussing on research now

#

Big news after Belgium

unborn stratus
#

Even without the win in mind, quali sucked here

#

Belgium is a one strat to rule them all

#

Victor stays P7 but Isack lost out to Stroll at the start

#

Lap 2: Victor makes it past Vesti for P6

#

And then Bottas crashes out on turn 7, safety car

#

This is really inconvinient for Leclerc, who just locked up and is now last

#

And right on the restart, in revenge for last race, Victor kamikazed into both Racing Bulls, another safety car, Victor and Lawson out

#

As for Antonelli, he rejoins P11

#

Lap 10: second racing lap of this race, Isack P6, the Astons have cleared him somehow

#

Lap 14: Isack pits and emerges dead last... that may be a problem

#

Lap 20: Isack is making great progress going through the pack, the only driver ahead to have pit since the safety car is Verstappen

#

Lap 21: Tsunoda has been in P2 for a while, he hasn't pit but still, no one expected that today

#

Lap 22: he pits and emerges dead last :(

#

Lap 24: Isack managed to clear Norris before Verstappen did...

#

...but he's not in the lead as Hamilton has already pit and come out ahead somehow

#

Lap 25: naturally didn't last long

#

Lap 27: Isack has a problem with his front left

#

He emerges P12, got a long charge ahead

#

Lap 35: Isack finally gets Stroll back, P4, seems to be the best result realistically possible

#

After 2.5 years of trying... Lewis Hamilton gets a win for Ferrari

#

Good for Isack at least, also has vesti understood the Red Bull finally?

#

The gap to racing Bulls comes right down after that

#

And the news...

#

Hamilton and Hulkenberg to retire from F1

World champions Lewis Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg will not race in F1 after the conclusion of the 2027 season

Their retirements will open two seats in F1, and one of those has just won, so will be fought for heavily, for sure

Who will take those seats? Not the formerly highly speculated Paul Aron, and he's out the door of racing careers at the end of the year too

unborn stratus
#

Dutch quali didn't go well for us, on top of Victor having a penalty for the Belgium crash

#

Zandvoort usually follows Ol' Reliable, but starting so close together made me want to split the strats

#

Victor gets ahead of Stroll at the start, Isack doesn't

#

Isack gets past lap 2 for P10

#

Lap 3: Vesti blocks Sainz a little too aggresively, both of them and safety car out

#

Lap 8: right on the restart, Lawson locks up, down to p11, Victor now P8 Isack P9

#

Lap 12: for now, we're in a battle for P6 with Bottas and Norris

#

Lap 14: Isack gets clear as the pack behind catches up

#

Lap 16: Victor gets clear and catche sup to Isack... but Norris follows

#

Lap 18: Victor is faster, clearing them both

#

Lap 20: just as Isack cleared Norris, he jumps into the box

#

Unfortunately he has a pit issue and emerges P13

#

Lap 26: Victor boxes and emerges P11, Isack P9 currently, Bottas fell off the pack

#

Lap 29: I have successfully managed Isack to the front of the pack, he sits P5

#

Lap 30: Hulkenberg hit the wall in rage, he's out

#

Lap 34: lawson is struggling, even Victor caught up and got past, 5-6

#

Lap 40: Mercedes 1-2 wow, Ferrari is clearly faster tho

#

Lap 43: lasted longer than I thought, but Antonelli slips through

#

Lap 45: Victor comes in again and emerges P9

#

Lap 46: Isack does the same, just behind Victor

#

Lap 49: with them together, we're charging through the field well, 6-8 already

#

Lap 57: to my surprise, we're back to 1-2, but Antonelli is close behind

#

Lap 59: it's not Antonelli who ruins it, but Verstappen, who managed to clear this entire pack on the main straight

#

Lap 60: bearman in the wall, double Haas DNF

#

Lap 63: Verdtappen takes the lead

#

As Victor is being challenged by hamilton for P3

#

One sided battle, Hamilton may even get P2

#

Lap 67: Isack emptied his battery trying to keep up with Hamilton, just can't be done

#

Hamilton wrecked his tyres during the getaway, whick played into out hands on the final lap

#

It was very clsoe at the line

#

Max Verstappen wins

#

A great race for us, even better is it was rubbish for Racing Bulls

#

So we get past them in the standings

unborn stratus
#

Let's get onto Canada - Verstappen takes pole, Isack does well, Victor not so much

#

Isack would be on light here if it wasn't for sheer Mercedes tyre preservation ability, Victor will charge up to the top then chill at the front

#

Verstappen gets far ahead as we maintain position, but ready for a fight

#

Lap 2: we gain a place each

#

Lap 3: Victor is struggling to keep P10 why is Bottas faster

#

Lap 4: Victor is embarrassingly slow, P13

#

Lap 9: Norris clears isack and Antonelli to get P2 somehow

#

Lap 26: before Isack pit, I had Victor holding up cars behind to hopefully allow Isack to overcut, but that was all for nothing as Isack emerges P8 with only Victor ahead not pitting

#

Lap 32: Victor last to pit, P14 behind Bottas, so all that was for naught too

#

Lap 36: Isack is clear of Lawson as has P3 secured for now

#

Meanwhile Victor got Bottas for P7, I guess she put all his speed into this exact part of the race

#

Lap 44: Victor is back to holding Hamilton behind to attempt to get P2 for Isack

#

Lap 45: Vesti triggers crashgate with Piastri, safety car out right when Verstappen needed to pit

#

Isack P3, Hamilton still managed to undercut, Victor P5

#

We maintain position at the restart

#

Lap 52: Victor fastest lap, rare to see me getting a fastest lap, I'm all about the long game and AI have OP attacks

#

He gets ahead of Russell for P4 too

#

Lap 53: isack is ahead of Verstappen for P2 regardless

#

Victor is ahead too, Verstappen fumbled

#

This is why we go mediums

#

Lap 54: Verstappen fell off, it's us and hamilton for the podium

#

Lap 56: Mercedes 1-2, Ferrari is clearly faster

#

Lap 58: verstappen and Russell catch up again, classic Verstappen

#

Lap 62: with his tyre state, we can safely say we have pinned Verstappen to Hamilton, as long as he doesn't get past it's a 1-2

#

Lap 66: Hamilton became a problem

#

However Verstappen can't keep up

#

But poor Lewis can't stand the final assault

#

Our two finished at the exact same time

#

Victor is the classified winner

#

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
(don't ask why Doohan is behind Tsunoda despite the gap, weird end of race interaction)

#

This has blown our plans out of the water - we might get Red Bull at this rate, so that research was problematic if so, but not if not

unborn stratus
#

Silverstone time - the race before the summer break
Many people are talking about how Vesti got out in Q1, Piastri got last and Tsunoda Q3, in our garage quali was decent

#

Ol reliable gaming

#

The start sees one loss one gain - Isack P4 Victor P7

#

Lap 2:Isack sneaks past Leclerc and Antonelli at the same time for P2

#

Lap 3: Isack and the usual duo cleared the rest of the pack, looks like a podium at least

#

Lap 4: Alpine points hopes gone, Tsunoda locks up and rejoins at the back

#

Lap 6: Victor charges through the pack he's with to get P4 for now

#

Lap 8: Tsunoda's race is even worse with a spin

#

Lap 21: both our cars pit, Isack P8 Victor P10 - Isack undercut by Verstappen, Bottass and Bearman are past Victor too

#

Lap 22: Victor leaves Bearman in the dust for P10

#

Lap 24: Isack gets past a big pack that hasn't pitted yet, he's P3 now, and critically he got past before Verstappen did

#

Lap 26: after Leclerc and Antonelli pit, Isack is now clear in P1

#

Lap 27: Verstappen is somehow fighting with Bottas, Victor catches up and gets past him too

#

Lap 28: Antonelli catches up to Verstappen as Victor and Bottas clear them both, currently 1-2

#

Lap 34: we pit again

#

Isack emerges P2, behind Antonelli and ahead of Leclerc, both on hards last pit so probably doing a 1 stop

#

Victor P5, behind Verstappen who still needs to pit again

#

Lap 39: Leclerc really wants to put up a fight, letting Antonelli get away

#

Lap 41: Isack finally clears Leclerc, gap to Antonelli 5 seconds

#

Oh yeah we got this

#

Meanwhile Verstappen is down in P10 fighting Albon

#

Lap 45: Victor clears Leclerc too

#

Lap 50: look out Antonelli, here's Isack

#

Antonelli hits Tsunoda on his way past, no penalty boooooooo

#

Isack gets past on the final DRS

#

Isack WINS

#

What a race that was - Verstappen hardly anywhere and a double podium, these past two races have been great

#

And that actually puts us at the top of the championship

unborn stratus
#

And now, one of the most popular moments, talking about next year

#

Around the paddock, many are talking about Barnard and Slater, the former taking the top spot in the driver ratings now, but the F1 teams seem to have their own agendas on who they think is best

Another major talking point is the Ferrari and Haas seats that definitely won't be filled by their current occupants, while you'd expect there to be lots of demand for those seats, there aren't many good options available out there, especially since our top duo don't look too interested in F1, with series like IndyCar and Formula E being much more attractive due to their rules

Let's dive into some rumours about the teams with an open seat:

#

Ferrari

Ferrari have a big seat to fill, and as mentioned before there's not many people who they seem capable, especially rookies, though a few current drivers are out of contract, they have a few options, who do they think is best?

McLaren

McLaren have both their drivers out of contract this season, and they may have two new ones - Maloney is yet to score a point in a car Norris proved is more than capable of doing so, but even Norris has been struggling in the past few races - could this tempt him elsewhere? Ideally McLaren want to keep him, but will he agree to a new deal?

Aston Martin

Stroll's contract is technically up, but come on, he's the boss' son, if he wants to race he's in that seat, and he's not announced retirement yet

Williams

Albon isn't the worst driver in F1, but Bottas is the clear star of the show at Williams - the ball's in Alban's court for this one, he's probably welcome to stay but some other teams like Ferrari may have an eye on him

Haas

Haas is in the same predicament as Ferrari except they're not fighting at the front anymore, this would make them unattractive to the top talent fighting for Ferrari - maybe second place gets the Haas seat? Or will someone not as good not join that fight and push for Haas to secure a drive?

Norris to Ferrari: here we go

Scuderia Ferrari have confirmed they have signed Lando Norris on a long term deal to partner Charles Leclerc at Ferrari
It's cited that McLaren's recent attitude change with their car development and Zane Maloney was the cause for him to move to a more competitive team as he hunts for more wins and eventually a championship
It's tipped to be a close battle at Ferrari once Lando settles in, closer than with Hamilton

#

It's Singapore time - shock Lawson Q1 elimination and Victor Q2 elimination, Isack is in a good place at least, he has some older pars because Beganovic binned it in practice

#

Singapore go-to is Ol Reliable with an extended medium because degradation

#

Isack gets P2 at the start, Victor lost out to Russell but gained it back for P11

#

We'll burn some hards then so light soft, Victor P10 Isack P4, amilton and Norris stayed out

#

Lap 36: Doohan bins it in the barriers at turn 13

#

Lap 12: Isack is up to P12 and has some clean air now to Bottas

#

Lap 18: Norris and Russell collide, free P4 for Victor, Russell badly damaged at the front of a pack Isack is at the back of

#

Antonelli wins

#

A Racing Bulls 1-2, bet you'd never see that irl
Isack got past Russell at the very end and cross the line P9, but Norris had a penalty for the crash so hey he got one point at least

#

In the main quali, the shocking event was Verstappen's Q1 elimination, Again Victor did well Isack did not

#

This is how we COTA

#

Victor was easily past Norris at the start, Isack still P11

#

Lap 5: Isack is finally past Tsunoda for P10

#

The attack starts here

Lap 24: Isack quickly gets past the Haas' for P9

#

Lap 25: easily past Stroll for P8 too

#

unborn stratus
#

We're back on lap 26, where Lawson pulled a fastest lap to clear Victor

Lap 40: last to pit again, Victor P4 Isack P9

#

Lap 41: Isack is clear of Bottas for P8

#

Lap 42: Isack is past Norris, but not without Bottas catching up, shouldn't be a problem tho

#

Lap 46: Isack has returned to lawson looking for P5

#

Lap 47: easiest clear ever it happened accidentally

#

Lap 50: Victor is on the back of the Ferraris

#

A big chunk of people have mechanical issues... and Doohan is still slower than them all

#

Lap 51: Doohan is angry about that fact and crashed out

#

Victor locked up under the VSC

#

On the final lap, Victor finally passes both Ferraris

#

Antonelli wins again

#

I'm way overdue a race so let's get to Mexico - unfortunately Russell red flagged the end of Q1 so Victor couldn't set a second time, but we'll make it through the pack hopefully

#

But unfortunately it's raining, so I'll leave the default strategies as they are and work out the best solution when it dries

#

Russell has taken a pit lane start to sneak in some upgrades perhaps

#

It's not shown well on the replay, but Norris turned in on Isack lap 1

Isack has some damage to deal with

Was it worth it though? Isack is now P5

#

Victor is P15 stuck behind Sainz

#

Isack P18 Victor P19, Doohan over a minute behind with mechanical issues so basically last

#

In fact Victor is lapped

#

Lap 42: after the pits, Isack P6 Victor P15, everyone else is on hards

#

And right when I say that, Albon is out

#

Lap 46: Isack is beaten by Bottas, down to P7

#

Meanwhile Victor can't get past Tsunoda... an Alpine

#

Lap 50: the AI getting DRS and not us is brutal - Isack P8 Victor P16

#

Lap 71: Tsunoda is refusing blue flags, meaning there's two Ferraris in betwene him and Victor, but even if he got ahead it's been an embarrasing race for the man P5 in the WDC

#

Max Verstappen wins

#

Doesn't help that the usual duo did well

#

The gap has come down, bit worrying

#

Remember last time we revealed Norris is Ferrari bound, Ferrari always make big signings

unborn stratus
#

Antonelli takes sprint pole irl and here - Victor got impended during both laps of SQ2

#

Mediums are the way to go

#

Piastri locks up turn 1, to the back he goes

#

Isack gets Bottas for P6, Victor gets Hulkenberg for P13

#

I didn't see it before, but Russell actually took a pit lane start again

#

Lap 2: Victor is doing better than last time, he's past Stroll for P12

#

Lap 4: it's incredibly hot, maybe going light on these mediums is the play

#

Lap 6: a more conservative approach means Bottas gets away from Isack

#

We'll make it back

unborn stratus
#

Lap 12: Isack is slow, down to P9 already

#

Lap 15: at elats Isack can help Victor past Sainz and Vesti, 8-9

#

Lap 18: Victor redemption arc - he gets past Isack and Bottas for P7

#

Lap 20: easily past Norris for P6

#

Antonelli wins

#

What a race for Victor, we were outscored by Red Bull and Racing Bulls but damage limitation

#

Qualifying was... terrible - I can't explain it we were just slow

#

If it wasn't at hot I'd be attacking with hards, but it is so Ol Reliable I guess

#

Isack stays P15 but Victor jumps to P17 at the start

#

Lap 2: 14-16, another place each

#

Lap 7: Hulkenberg hits Russell, but no evident damage

#

Lap 15: Vesti spun, free position for Victor, up to P15

#

Isack meanwhile is P12 chasing Albon

#

Lap 23: perfect double stack, Isack P13 Victor P17, bottom 10 have pit

#

Lap 32: after a few more pits and overtakes, Isack finds himself P9 and Victor P12, it's going okay

#

Lap 49: Isack pits and emerges P11, right behind Bearman

#

Lap 50: Victor pits and emerges P11, no one around

#

Lap 52: armed with softs, the hard runners are no match for us, 8-10 already

#

Lap 63: Hamilton ran into Bearman right before our eyes, 6-7 thanks to Hamilton damage, and caught up to Bearman

#

Lap 68: ahead of Bearman now, 5-6

#

And Verstappen and Maloney do a Brazil 2018, only Verstappen lives to continue unfortunately

#

Safety car is out, and the race will probably end under it

#

Antonelli wins

#

That went pretty well considering how it started

#

We're holding on at the top... just

Maloney's McLaren seat

unborn stratus
#

Maloney to stay at McLaren

...What?
Is this a joke?
...It seems now, after an impressive rookie campaign scoring 0 points to his teammate's 139, in a team in absolute shambles after they descended down the grid and their star driver ditched them thanks to him, Zane Maloney is staying at McLaren for another year
...Seriously how much is this guy paying them? He's worse than Stroll and even he's getting the boot
-# wait did I say too much? Oh no, oh no no no, I should not have said that

unborn stratus
#

VEGAS BABY - decent quali for us, bit concerned about Racing Bulls though - Williams flopped hard

#

At Vegas it's the same strat except the first medium is interchangeable for a soft - I'll put Isack on the soft because he has a bit of catch up to do at the start

unborn stratus
#

And it crashed so we have to restart

unborn stratus
#

Like last time, Vesti locks up into Bottas, getting a penalty

#

And we maintain position at the start

#

Lap 2: Isack ahead of Sainz for P9

#

Lap 5: Victor is ahead of Hamilton for P6

#

Lap 8: Tsunoda loses the back and goes into the wall

#

Lap 10: Leclerc had a big crash, down to P11, Victor P5 Isack P8 thanks to that

#

It crashed again but I have a save at lap 13

#

I'll have a look and see what's up before I continue

unborn stratus
#

I think I found the issue, but I don't have enough time to complete the race until later

unborn stratus
#

Right, let's continue

#

Lap 17: we pit, Victor P6 Isack P9, Antonelli and Sainz ahead haven't pit, we're probably undercutting one

#

Lap 22: Hamilton has a fault, help up Isack, let Sainz catch up and pass, marvelous

#

Lap 26: What's up with Isack even Stroll could catch up

#

Lap 31: can't see it here but Stroll locked up into Isack, no damage but tyres are dead, right after the pit entry, wonderful

#

Lap 32: Isack pits and emerges P11

#

Lap 33: Victor has a pit issue, P7

#

Lap 35: somehow Maloney was ahead of Isack in the points - anyway, easily past

#

Lap 36: Victor caught up to Bearman and begins a fight

#

Lap 40: Bearman cleared, P5 for Victor

#

Isack manages to get Sainz on the final lap, I didn't notice how

#

Verstappen ran out of fuel but got over the line

#

Antonelli steals the win on the last lap

#

Yep, that was a problem race

#

Not because of us, because of Racing Bulls - who turned it form 10 points behind to 15 points in front

#

I think I'm going to go back to two seasoner mode - prep research for a strong 2028

#

Speaking of 2028...

unborn stratus
#

Qatar time, featuring a sprint - a shocking pool of SQ1 eliminations, Maloney outqualifying Norris and Vetsi choosing to stay in the pit for SQ2 and the sprint

#

I'd love to go light medium, but Victor needs to save that medium for the race

#

Isack achieves P15 at the start, but Victor drops to P13

#

Lap 2: Victor pushes Hulkenberg off letting Isack pass too, 12-14

#

Lap 6: Isack drops back from Tsunoda and Albon gets by

#

Lap 8: Maloney was doing suspiciously good in P4 - a lockup sends him to the back, bit more realistic

#

Lap 14: Leclerc parks, bad day for him

#

Lap 18: Stroll parks too

#

Antonelli wins

#

Very unfortunate pointless sprint for us, I wonder what caused us to decline so much

#

Main race later

unborn stratus
#

It be a surprisingly good quali for us, Isack got held up on both Q3 laps tho

#

The Qatar Ol Reliable requires lots of tyre preservation - which we have, we may have a good advantage here

#

Antonelli obviously gets away, but Isack is up to P8 at the start

#

Lap 2: Verstappen spins, to the back, Isack P7

#

Lap 12: pretty lonely race, no one within a second of anyone else

#

Except Verstappen to Maloney going for P18

#

Lap 20: pit time, Victor P4 undercut by Lawson, Isack P9, Norris in the lead and Sainz P6 haven't pitted yet

#

Lap 25: Hamilton runs wide and takes Vesti with him, Vesti no front wing, Hamilton penalised

#

Lap 26: Victor locks up, tyre damage, no positions lost

#

Lap 34: thanks to the worn tyres, Norris catche sup to Victor

#

Lap 36: Victor pits and emerges P4

#

Lap 37: Isack pits and emerges...P11?

#

There are four ahead that still need to pit tho

#

Lap 43: Maloney didnt leave space because he had to get out the points somehow

#

Lap 53: Hulkenberg parks

#

Norris runs out of fuel on the final lap

#

Antonelli wins again

#

And he heads up a Racing Bulls 1-2

#

Yep they just get further away

#

So the crashy 3 turn into the crashy 4 - Australia, Japan, Baku and now also Abu Dhabi always crash when loading

#

I'll think of something, but it may be a while

unborn stratus
#

So I think I found the issue for three of them, Australia has a different error message so next race will be Japan and we'll go from there

unborn stratus
#

Stroll's new son: Gasly

I can't believe it, Lance Stroll has been ditched from his dad's team
I also couldn't believe Gasly didn't have a drive in 2027, so lesser of two evils I guess
What's interesting is Gasly is tipped to be the leading man, probably due to his performance at Alpine showing Martins and Tsunoda who's boss, and they're both proven contenders

unborn stratus
#

Enter Japan - Victor ran wide then got held up, but decent for Isack - though Sauber are worryingly fast now

#

While Ol Reliable works here I want Isack a bit more aggressive first, and a bit more aggressive throughout
Meanwhile Victor will do something no one else does to not get annoyed by traffic

#

It's awfully bright making it look terrible, maybe that's why it kept crashing - I'll reinstall after this to see if that fixes it

#

If there's a race to win, this is the one - Verstappen and Antonelli are also in the pit

#

So it's actually Hamilton pole and 4-14

#

Lap 1 safety car, Piastri runs wide at turn 3 and rejoins straight into Stroll, both out

#

Isack is P3 and Victor P11

#

The three pit laners are still at the back, but don't have that significant disadvantage

#

Lap 5: we're racing again - somehow Albon got away but we maintain position

#

Lap 7: Sainz replaces his teammate in front of Isack

#

Lap 8: I sure hope it's not a case of one person gets by on DRS every lap

#

Lap 11: first time Isack stays with the car ahead, he's P7 now

#

Make that P6, Leclerc spun to the back

#

Lap 16: Isack locked up, P8 now, it's going great for him

#

Lap 18: he pits and comes out P11, only Hulkenberg and Vesti ahead have pit

unborn stratus
#

Lap 25: Lawson parks, as Victor comes in and emerges P16, behind Bearman who pit already (and started in the pits), alarming

#

Lap 32: What is Maloney on, neither Victor nor Verstappen can get by him

#

Lap 34: finally Victor does it, only cost the entire battery

#

Lap 36: Isack's final pit sees him P10, Vesti jumped him somehow but no one else ahead pit (Though Victor doesn't need to)

#

Lap 38: Hamilton pit and emerged in the lead, 8 seconds ahead, he literally cannot lose

#

Lap 40: Antonelli is P13, he's not been able to make up ground, was dirty air scarified for cornering?

#

Lap 42: Victor is in a tussle with Sainz for P3, with pressure from the Red Bulls behind, getting past here will be amazing

#

And just behind them is Isack and Norris, in P7 and P8

#

Lap 45: Sainz gets a puncture, surely they have to pit him now

#

Lap 48: Isack catches up to Victor and the Red Bulls after dropping Norris

#

Also can we talk about how Albon has been P2 the whole time? How did that happen?

#

Lap 49: Tsunoda went wide into Russell, both pretty badly damaged, probably gives Antonelli P11

#

Lap 50: The Red Bulls have bad tyres, Victor cleared them, all hail the 1 stop

#

Lewis Hamilton wins one of his final races

#

I really need to stop hating on one stoppers

#

That did good for us in the championships, but that was only because the usual duo had pit lane starts

unborn stratus
#

Due to Logistical issues, Albert Park cannot prep itself for a Grand Prix in time, there will be no race at Australia this year

#

In the search for a replacement, Formula 1 has reached an agreement with Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the next race will be the Quebec Grand Prix

unborn stratus
#

Furthermore, the FIA are debating the possibility of "Q races" in 2028 and beyond
In this, FIA will secretly pick some races, around 4 or 5 every year and apply a secret rule to them
This rule can be anything, examples included reversing the grid once qualifying is done, double points in a race and forcing teams to use a rookie in a race

unborn stratus
#

Here we are prepped for the first Quebec Grand Prix - Antonelli takes pole as Lawson is out in Q1 and Isack Q2

#

Isack will put his faith in the one stop to get up to the top with Victor

#

We maintain position at the start

#

Lap 3: Sainz in the barriers, he's out

#

Lap 6: just before the retsart, Victor spins, he hasn't lost any poitions but has lost podium hopes

#

Lap 7: Stroll spins and loses all the positions, learn from Victor Lance

#

Lap 14: Vesti and Bottas are faster than Victor

#

Lap 16: Isack finally gets past Maloney for P13

#

Lap 20: Piastri attacks and gets past Victor too, P7

#

Lap 26: Victor pits and emerges P11, the three that pit ahead were the three that started ahead of him

#

Never mind Lawson overtook him, and he already pit

#

Lap 32: Isack pits and emerges P13, four ahead haven't pit

#

Lap 51: after a whole stint of nothing, Victor pits again, emerging P12

#

Lap 53: Norris turns in on Russell, not Russell's day (he also hit the wall to try to avoid Victor's spin) - Russell penalised

#

Conviniently however, Victor slips by for P10

#

Lap 56: Leclerc pushed Victor off to take P10 from him

#

Lap 58: Leclerc is aggresive, he pushed Bottas not pushed Isack, 9-11 currently

#

Lap 60: Bottas also became aggresive, pushing Isack off and Victor got past him too

#

Lap 65: Bottas is slow, both os us get past

#

Antonelli dominates

#

Well that race kinda sucked for us

#

We may even end up P3

unborn stratus
#

Let's do Baku - where, for some reason, the results didn't save in the database, so I can't extract them (yet the save could be loaded with the right data, go figure) - Antonelli gets pole as Isack was slow, Maloney celebrated his Q3 by crashing into Hamilton btw

#

Baku is a low deg track to attack all the way

#

The damage from Hamilton's crash sees him sent to the pits

#

The Racing Bulls get away, 4-12 at the start

#

Lap 3: goodbye Albon, hello safety car

#

Quite a few decide to pit even though we have tyre percentages in the 90s, weird but hey 3-7 now

#

Lap 7: this won't be a good restart for Verstappen

#

Lap 8: Victor remains P3 but Isack makes it up to P6

#

Lap 10: Leclerc gets ahead of Victor, P4

#

...and so does Norris

#

The problem with low deg tracks is we, aling with the AI, are always attacking, so we don't get the tyre wear advantage

#

Lap 15: Isack pits, P17, the penultimate three pitted after the safety car, Doohan is just that slow, how has he got a drive next season

#

Okay thanks Jack for triggering a safety car RIGHT AFTER we pit

#

Isack literally said "for ***** sake" on the radio

#

Victor pits and emerges P7, Isack P11

#

Lap 20: position maintaining restart

#

Lap 22: Victor is fighting Norris for P6

#

But Norris won

#

Lap 23: Tsunoda crashed into the barrier, he's out

#

Lap 25: isack is taking the fight to the Saubers for P8

#

Meanwhile Victor is on the tail of the P3 train

#

Lap 27: Norris into the barrier, he's still in but Victor and Isack are past, 6-8

#

And its gone from Isack vs Sauber to Sainz vs Mercedes

#

Lap 29: both Mercs ahead of both Saubers now, 6-7

#

And Hamilton did the funny spin

#

Lap 36: Isack pits and emerges P10, no one around, two ahead pit again, it looks like another two don't need to

#

Lap 37: Victor pits and emerges P8, right behind Bearman (who hasn't pit yet)

#

lap 39: Victor got past Bearman easily, but in frustration he hit Isack, both out, red flag and Bearman penalised

#

Lap 42: we're off again, Victor is P6 chasing Lawson for P5

#

Lap 45: Maloney parks

#

Lap 48: Victor gets past Lawson for P5

#

Antonelli didn't just win the race... ANTONELLI WINS THE WDC

#

I found the problem, the extractor takes the latest RaceID, but Quebec skipped a few then this slotted in before again

unborn stratus
#

Oops I posted the wrong results, here are the real ones
Good for Victor, shame about Isack but what could we do

#

And there it is, Red Bull couldn't return to the top so the B team did, but we have a bit of a fight with them in Abu Dhabi

#

Stay tuned for next race, where we see:

  • Hamilton's last race
  • Hulkenberg's last race
  • Stroll's last race?
  • Norris' last race in a McLaren
    And...
  • Albon's last race in a Williams
#

Albon makes the move to McLaren

Zak Brown had a void to fill when his star driver left, and he struggled with who's available
Albon is probably the best driver currently driving they have left, so he's got that going for him
It was rumored that Iwasa was going to return, but mediocre test times at Mercedes put an end to that idea
Albon looks like a star in the matchup but don't let that fool you, Maloney is the second worst rated driver, only ahead of Lawson

unborn stratus
#

Here we are, the last race and the first ever time I have started form the pit lane, Isack crashed out of Q2 and had to run some older parts as we didn't have replacements
Antonelli gave Lawson the pole because he doesn't need it

#

Ol Reliable with neutral medium is the way here

#

Big red flag lap 1, due to a terminal incident for Victor and Hamilton, he kamikazed to guarantee his place in the championship
Victor was penalised for this incident, Hamilton fans crying rn

#

And Lawson got caught up in it from the lead, tragedy

#

So now we have one driver and he's at the back...great

#

Lap 4: at the back Isack stays, the troubles of having old car parts

#

Never mind, he gets past Doohan

#

Lap 7: Tsunoda locks up, to the back, Isack P15

#

Lap 15: Isack gets past Russell for P14

#

Lap 16: Isack past Maloney for P13

#

Lap 19: Isack pits emerging P14, only because Russell is yet to pit

#

Lap 23: with Russell's pit and Albon's lockup, Isack is P12

#

Lap 27: Isack is now battling Stroll for points, pit to points in 26 laps impressive

#

One sided battle

#

Lap 29: Isack is now past Hulkenberg for P9, with P8 a long way away this may be the best result, I wouldn't complain

#

Lap 41: Isack's front left tyre man decided to wait before putting the tyre on

#

He's out of the pits P10, Bottas ahead on a 1 stop

#

Lap 48: Isack catches up to Bottas

#

Easy clear

#

And isack catches up and and passes Sainz on the very final lap, P8

#

Antonelli wins

#

It crashed so I hope I haven't lost the reuslt

#

I haven't yay (though I would be fine with doing it again)

#

What a thrilling final race (but not the final race Hamilton would've wanted)

#

And here it is, the final standings

#

Sauber's Louis Foster wins F2

#

Red Bull's Martinus Stenshorne wins F3

#

For 2028 we will see:

  • Some airflow and cooling changes, mostly airflow
  • Double points for the final race
  • A Q race system?
  • An alteration of the prize shares, top teams get less bottom teams (except 10th) get more
  • A new FIA-approved reserve system
  • The return of Australia
#

And now: the FIA prize giving ceremony of 2027

#

Best driver in F1: Ollie Bearman

Has Bearman shone this season? No, things have been as expected, but he can still hold his own in the team with a world champion teammate, he's the leader of Haas for definite, and has a new teammate to help acclimatize

#

Rising star of F1: Lando Norris

It takes something to carry a P5 in the WCC on your points alone, having to deal with a terrible car and Maloney and still do that well esrnt him a place at Ferrari

#

Best driver in F2: Taylor Barnard

Not just F2, the best driver overall - still, he seems happy where he is, and it makes him look good, so I suppose there's no complaints there

#

Rising start of F2: Willoughby Watson

To call Watson terrible in 2026 would be an understatement, but he's completely turned it around this year, proving the F1 teams should keep an eye on him

#

Best driver in F3: Abbi Pulling

With Camara off to F2, there's been no competition for the top spot in these rankings, Pulling is a great mentor while performing well herself, who knows what she would be capable of with F1 team backing, heck even put her in a seat

#

Rising star of F3: Joshua Durksen

Durksen was a filler at Hitech while Voisin and Esterson wer meant to be the performers... but he completely turned that around, he was the main man in the Hitech garage, one for F1 to watch

#

Biggest flops of 2027

Honourable mention: Fredrik Vesti
Vesti is ranked 9th in this list but is the biggest flop in F1, Red Bull went for the rookie idea again and it didn't work out again, it's not his fault but still...

5. Jak Crawford
Crawford should be auditioning for an F1 seat at this point, but getting an affiliate contract may be a struggle now, Mini blew him out of the water a bit with a tipped 70.24% win rate over him

4. Sami Meguetounif
Meguetounif returned to F3 to teach two newcomers a lesson... but ended up being the one getting taught, he might stay he might not

3. Zak O'Sullivan
This one may not be his fault, Siegel was competing for the number 1 rank before he fell off and Zak was in the right place at the right time, but Paul Aron showed it was Nolan being bad over Zak being good

2. Arvid Lindblad
Anyone would look at Lindblad and say "he should be in F1 by now" well the fact Foster could dominate in the same car shows why he isn't, that's not what F1 teams want

1. Nolan Siegel
After a miserable defeat to O'Sullivan in 2026, he went up against at the time worst ranking Watson... and has a miserable defeat again, he's finished

#

For 2028: we are actually going to COTA for the season opener

#

2028 Seaosn Preview

#

Racing Bulls
With the worst performing driver in the game getting podiums in that thing, and an average driver securing the WDC, who knows what that car can do this season? They have two titles to defend from their sister team and Mercedes, how well will they do it?
WCC target: 1st

#

Red Bull
Hosting the other member of the usual duo at the front in 2027, and with Vesti getting to grips with the Red Bull in the last few races, will we see any upsets to Racing Bulls and have the Red Bull team take the victory?
WCC target: 2nd

#

Mercedes
The first time since 2025 I've stayed at a team, lots of research has gone into this thing to the WCC is expected for me, despite the target
WCC target: 3rd

#

Ferrari
Lando Norris has some big shoes to fill, but I'm sure he'll fit right in, this is a duo to watch out for, if only their car was good
WCC target: 4th

#

McLaren
Losing their star driver and struggling with the car in the latter half of the season, they've kept faith in Maloney who had some sparks of hope at the end, but mistakes always blew them out, the team are relying on Albon here, but can he be trusted with the outfit?
WCC target: 5th

#

Aston Martin
Russell had some promising results in the past, much more than Stroll, and the British outfit need more - they're hoping gasly can match Russell out at the front sometimes
WCC target: 6th

#

Haas
Who do you replace Hulkenberg with... a guy who beat him twice of course - Sergio Perez returns after keeping the pattern of yar in year out going once more, but what can he do that Bearman can't?
WCC target: 3rd

#

Williams
Williams have opted to bring back another F1 driver who's been out for a year, Theo Pourchaire - Bottas knows him well form his time at Sauber, so hopefully they get along well, but rumours are their finances are not the way they want them
WCC target: 8th

#

Sauber
What a terrible WCC defence - both had some moments, Piastri moreso, but they need more if they want to see the front again
WCC target: 3rd

#

Alpine
Terrible car, terrible driver, makes sense they're at the back, and here they are again ready for more
WCC target: 9th

#

Tipped chances of beating their teammate:

#

We have some big seats opening up next year, and lots of them too, who will get them?

#

And finally, F2 and F3 lineups

unborn stratus
#

Not sure if it's a bug in this save or the game in general, but for some reason no one could earn a superlicence - as you can see everyone in F1 had one at the start (I gave Antonelli and Bortoleto one befoe it became an official thing), I've written some code to allow the allocation of other superlicences, so from 2029 we'll have more drivers to choose from

unborn stratus
#

It is time for 2028, and we are beginning with a sprint at COTA - so what can we see here? Alpine looks awful again, Aston Martin aren't too great, Pourchaire needs some time to adapt, Perez surprises, we look fast and Norris takes pole first time in a Ferrari

#

Teams haven't sorted out their tyres yet, so this is the way, be careful and have the advantage at the end

#

Yuki Tsunoda messes up the first turn of 2028, he's at the back

#

Meanwhile with us, Victor stays P2 but Isack makes it up to P3, passing Antonelli on merit felt good

#

Lap 5: we are in our own world, Norris and Antonelli are gone

#

lap 6: Antonelli has a big spin, to the back he goes

#

Leclerc seems to be faster

#

Lap 11: Piastri locks up, to the back

#

And despite what is looks like, Leclerc isn't catching, we're faster now

#

But still, is Ferrari our fight this year?

#

Lando Norris wins

#

An impressive first race for us and Ferrari, may the battle commence

#

Main race later

unborn stratus
#

Actually let's do it now - Leclerc takes pole, Perez last, double Alpine Q2, Bottas P2? every thought I has was flipped
Isack spun in Q2 and Victor was held up both times in Q3

#

This is the COTA way

#

Oh my what a turn 1...

#

Holy...

#

Four cars out

#

Isack has a lot of damage, but is still running

#

he is also now on softs because his mediums got blown up

#

Theo Pourchaire was the one blamed by the FIA

#

Victor got Antonelli at the restart for P5

#

Lap 4: Gasly got Isack for P10, as expected with such damage, I could just retire him but there may be another crash, to finish in the points you gotta finish

#

Lap 6: all the damage-free cars are ahead of Isack now, he's P14

#

Lap 22: Isack pits and emerges P15, Lawson undercut him (heavily damaged too)

#

Similarly, Victor pits and emerges P6, undercut by a Racing Bull

#

Lap 35: Victor gets past Antonelli, P5 again, Bottas is close

#

Lap 38: Bottas and Victor pit, Bottas gets the way better stop, P6 and 7

#

isack pits too, still P15

#

Been a while since we had a podium cutscene

#

Victor tried, but just couldn't catch back up, if only Isack was there, but luck didn't go our way

#

This is how the standings start

unborn stratus
#

One more thing probably worth mentioning: who are the reserves?
Each team has access to all their affiliates as their reserves, but for now the rumoured first choice of each team is:

  • Red Bull: Arvid Lindblad
  • Ferrari: Liv Nyman
  • Mercedes: Gabriele Mini
  • McLaren: Gabriel Bortoleto
  • Alpine: Teresa Munoz
  • Aston Martin: Nikola Tsolov
  • Williams: Ritomo Miyata
  • Haas: Daegan Fairclough
  • Sauber: Louis Foster
  • Racing Bulls: Ugo Ugochukwu
They are not guaranteed to be the step ins should something happen, they may end up unavailable too - behind the scenes McLaren's second choice Charlie Wurz wasn't available for COTA, but he's back for Baku

In Baku, Ferrari dominate once again, Isack was held up on both Q3 laps and Maloney outquaified Albon 2-0, that's one to watch

#

Looks like we're expecting rain, this is the default strategy, we'll see what comes of it

#

isack stays put at the start, but Victor reaches P3

#

Lap 2: Isack achieves P9 after getting Sanz on DRS

#

Lap 9: Vesti is in the wall, he didn't lost any positions, he held everyone up instead

#

Lap 14: we've rain

#

Lap 16: we come in for wets, Victor P3 Isack P9 after an issue, still went our way

#

Lap 17: Albon opted for inters, so we expect him to get past, Isack P10

#

Meanwhile Vesti is at the back

#

Lap 20: full wet weather, Albon pit, P9 for Isack

#

Lap 20: Vesti crashed again, this time he's out

#

Lap 33: there's not much action going on, Victor is holding off Leclerc by heating up his tyres well

#

By the way, inters were a mistake, Albon is P18 behind his teammate

#

Lap 36: Isack got ahead of Sainz ahgain, P8 now

#

Lap 44: we pit for softs, Victor P4 jumped by Leclerc, Isack P8

#

Actually Isack P7, someone was late

#

Same podium, different order

#

Norris wins for Ferrari, we tried our best but it's really not looking enough

#

The Ferraris are now level on points, I guess they nailed the regs and our drivers are relatively weak

#

I'm glad to announce Australia works this year, it'll be the next race

unborn stratus
#

Australia, the problem track last time - if FP1 is anything to go by, we're in for a good time, but then Victor got held up twice in Q2, at least Isack is in a strong position

#

Victor is doing Ol Reliable, Isack is staying a bit more aggressive to keep up at the front

#

Carlos Sainz locks up lap 1, to the back he goes

#

Victor can't get past Doohan, he's P14

#

Isack meanwhile is up to P2

#

Lap 3: no stopping Norris, he's far away

#

Lap 9: Piastri got ahead of Victor who can't overtake anyone, embarassing

#

lap 11: Victor gets his head in the game and finally gets past Piastri and Doohan, P13

#

Lap 18: isack pits and emerges P8, no one ahead has pitted

#

lap 21: Victor pits, P13, denying the jump on Piastri and being undercut by Vesti, thankfully not Doohan

#

Lap 22: Bearman is proving some trouble for Isack after he pit, for some reason

#

Nevermind, one sided battle

#

Lap 24: Victor easily overtook Vesti, P12

#

Lap 26: the action now is Isack catching up to Verstappen, Pourchaire and Leclerc, none have pit yet

#

Lap 26: Isack made it past them all, but then they all pit, it allowed Bearman to catch up

#

But he has DRS to keep away

#

Lap 27: Norris pits and remains in the lead, he's bound to win

#

But with a little help from Bearman, Isack is in the lead

#

Meanwhile on the other side of the garages, Victor has caught up to Perez and is looking to take P8 from him

#

lap 28: with Bearman dropping back, Norris retakes the lead

#

Lap 29: Victor ahead of Perez, P8

#

Lap 30: with Norris and Bearman far away, P2 for Isack is basically guaranteed

#

lap 35: Victor catches up to Russell and the Racing Bulls, but he's about to pit, so the undercut strat to get past them

#

Lap 36: Lawson pits too, Victor P13

#

Lap 38: Verstappen has a big spin, he's P7 now, didn't affect us

#

Lap 40: Vesti has been left in the dust, P11 for Victor

#

Lap 41: Isack pits and emerges P2, just ahead of Pourchaire

#

Lap 42: Everyone ahead has made their final stops now, Victor P10

#

Lap 49: Victor has overtaken Lawson and Bottas for P8, and has caught up to the P4 train

#

Lap 50: Bearman down, P7

#

Lap 55: Pourchaire down, P6

#

Lap 56: Verstappen down, P5

#

And Leclerc got away due to Verstappen's dead tyres, P5 is realistically best

#

Sainz runs out of fuel at the beginning of the last lap (can't access his camera and no one is around), red flag to end

#

Lando Norris wins

#

That was all around the best race we could do in these conditions, great work Victor, but Ferrari are proving to be a threat

#

It looks like Ferrari are the only threat however

Quick rundown of every F1 driver's career

unborn stratus
#

Onto Japan now, and our position is looking very promising

#

Everyone to Maloney rn:

#

There will be water they say

#

Let's just see what happens

#

Vesti locks up lap 1 and rejoins at the back

#

Isack gets a bad start and loses P2 to Leclerc, 3-4

#

Lap 9: things get worse for Vesti, as he crashes into Doohan, both out

#

We pit for wets, 10-12, top of those who pitted for wets

#

Lap 12: 2-9 at the restart, Victor struggled to get past everyone

#

Make that 2-8

#

Lap 13: Victor past Antonelli for P7, what happened to his domination era

#

When Bottas tried geting past, Lawson defended it, as the cost of beuing hit and sent to the back

#

Lap 16: it's inter weather now, but I don't think it's worth putting inters on, it won't last long, but it's a toss-up

#

Lap 17: Antonelli didn't see Albon was there and just drove into the back of him, Albon P15 Antoenlli P17, both badly damaged

#

Lap 19: Norris on inters ends up getting past Victor minutes before the rain is set to spike again, staying out was the right call

#

Lap 23: back to wet, Isack P2, Victor P5 but Norris on inters ahead (and Perez on dead tyres)

#

Lap 26: Tsunoda spins out and crashes into the barrier

#

Lap 28: Victor finally passes Perez for P3

#

And Maloney has a puncture, terrible timing

#

Lap 30: Verstappen, who pit again for fresher wets, gets Victor for P3

#

Lap 32: Inter time, we are suspiciously the only ones to pit for inters, Isack P4 Victor P7

#

Lap 34: Somehow, Verstappen still was ahead of Victor despite 2 laps on the wrong tyre, 2-4 out of the ones that pit

#

Also at 3mm, Norris on wets is faster than Isack on inters, what are we supposed to do

#

Lap 38: Norris ain't pitting even at 2.3mm, we are ahead, P2

#

Lap 45: Leclerc pits for wets at 2.57mm, suspicious

#

Lap 46: Isack times the pit better, but still just in P2

#

...out of those who pit, looks like Verstappen is staying out

#

Lap 47: Verstappen pits and emerges P3, in between Isack and Victor

#

Charles Leclerc wins

#

Nice strong result for us, terrible for Alpine, I wish we could've done that little bit more tho

#

Ferrari are getting away

#

The FIA have announced China will be their first Q race, the condition will be revealed at the start of the main race

unborn stratus
#

Let's go to China - with a new face at the top of practice, Norris takes the sprint pole, and it was a nice one for us

#

This is the way, light softs to attack at the end

#

And it starts in utter disaster as isack crashes into Antonelli turn 1

#

Both damaged, Isack penalised

#

lap 3: Antonelli pushes Isack off, he's at the back

#

Meanwhile Victor has cleared Leclerc and got Norris 2 seconds ahead

#

Lap 9: Isack finally gets Antonelli back

#

Lap 10: he gets Gasly too (who has chosen 71)

#

Lap 19: watch out Norris, Victor is coming

#

It wasn't enough, Lando Norris wins

#

Isack was P16 on the road but fell to P19 after his penalty, he's been terrible with his crashes

#

In the main quali, Victor gets pole! amazing stuff, this is more where we wanna be

#

This is our China plan

#

And just before the race, the FIA have revealed the Q condition:
If anyone gets a penalty, they will also receive a race ban in Miami

unborn stratus
#

And it crashed, I'll get to it soon

unborn stratus
#

There is a massive lap 1 crash between Antonelli, Norris and Pourchaire

#

All three out, red flag

#

Antonelli gets a penalty, we won't see him in Miami

#

Verstappen hit Bearman on the restart, no damage or positions lost for either, probably won't lead to anything

#

Lap 4: we retain position, which is P1 and P3 because Pourchaire is out

#

Lap 5: Isack gets Leclerc for P2

unborn stratus
#

It crashed again but I had a save at lap 5

unborn stratus
#

Lap 6: Isack gets past Victr for the lead

#

He is attacking, it's okay

#

Lap 10: Leclerc isn't a problem, 1-2

#

Lap 15: Isack's tyres are old now, I let Victor back past, he'll pit soon

#

lap 17: isack pits and emerges P7, I'm surprised to see it's Doohan the man he's behind

#

Lap 18: obviously Doohan is no competition

#

Lap 22: Victor pit and emerged P3, behind Isack, ahead of them is Leclerc who hasn't pit yet

#

Lap 24: I once again let Victor by, newer fresher tyres

#

And Isack needs to hold Verstappen back

#

Lap 25: Isack loses out to Verstappen, on old softs

#

Lap 26: Gasly in the wall, out he goes

#

Leclerc pits under VSC, P4 behind both of us

#

Lap 31: Isack catches up to Verstappen, only for Vesti to crash and trigger another VSC, suspicious

#

Lap 37: Isack pits and emerges P6, 3 seconds behind Verstappen

#

Lap 38: Victor pits and emerges P2, 14 seconds behind Leclerc

#

Lap 50: Victor is on Leclerc's tail

#

lap 51: Isack locked up, guaranteeing P4

#

Lap 53: Victor retakes the lead

#

Victor Martins wins and breaks Ferrari's perfect record

#

And win and Ferrari DNF, little more we could want

#

The gap has shrunk, more of those please

#

Racing Bulls has confirmed Ugo Ugochukwu will replace Antonelli at Miami

unborn stratus
#

Miami time, tragedy for Isack not getting out of SQ1, Victor claims pole, what a contrast

#

Victor is going the normal light soft, Isack light medium so he can get past slower cars then attack more

#

This will also split the strategies in the race

#

For the start, Victor clears the lead while Isack gets past Sainz and Ugochukwu for P13

#

Lap 2: Isack past Tsunoda, P12

#

Nevermind, Tsunoda got him back

#

Lap 3: Ugochukwu pushes past Isack, Isack P14

#

Lap 4: Sainz past Isack, back where he started

#

Lap 6: Isack back past Ugochukwu, P14

#

Lap 7: Isack past Tsunoda, P13

#

And he doesn't make the switchback

#

Lap 8: Norris is in P2 ahead of Piastri now, Victor may be in danger

#

Yep, big danger

#

Lap 9: Isack past Sainz, P12

#

Lap 10: Norris can't actually catch up, he's on 16% worse tyres

#

Lap 11: Isack past Russell, P11

#

Lap 12: only we are not under the 60% of detah, so we should be smooth sailing until that happens

#

And there's a safety car, Zane Maloney into the barriers

#

Everyone pit for some new softs, Victor P1 Isack P10 somehow

#

Verstappen is behind, Vesti held him up

#

Lap 16: four laps to the end, tyre advantage nullified, can Victor survive?

#

Looks like he can, Victor has cleared and Isack is past Vesti for P9, one more for points, Pourchaire ahead 0.9

#

Isack gets ahead of Pourchaire for a point on the final lap

#

...But Pourchaire claims it back on the line

#

Victor Martins wins

#

Good job Victor, Isack tried but oh well, one point

#

In the main quali, Q3 was the one Isack bottles, Victor domination continues as the reserve starts from last

#

Victor can handle two neturals pitting a bit earlier, Isack can only handle the one

#

Big turn 1 crash

#

As the red flag waves, Verstappen got Victor while Isack got Bottas

#

Russell, Maloney, Perez, Doohan and Sainz out,

#

Sainz penalised

#

Thanks to Verstappen opting for mediums, Victor reclaims P1

#

Isack is ahead of Leclerc for P6

#

Lap 6: Leclerc gets Isack back, fight for P6

#

Lap 7: catching up to Piastri makes this a fight for P5

#

And out comes another red, Pourchaire into the barrier

#

Victor P1, Isack P7

#

lap 10: Victor pulled out 2.5 seconds at the restart

#

In exchange however, Isack lost P7 to Bearman

#

Lap 12: Isack gets Bearman back

#

Lesson learnt: don't use hards at Miami

#

Lap 20: Isack loses out to Bearman again, P8

#

...and Bottas too, what's going on?

#

Lap 23: Victor also lost the lead to Verstappen

#

Lap 27: Victor loses out P2 to Norris too, hards are better now it seems

#

Lap 28: we pit with intent to undercut, Victor P9, Isack P13 with a 6.1 second stop

#

On the out lap Isack quickly gets past Ugochukwu

#

Lap 31: Isack just about failed to undercut Bearman

#

Lap 32: Verstappen and Norris pit, Verstappen ahead of Victor, Norris behind, sad times

#

Lap 36: Norris is pinned to Lawson, shouldn't be a problem anymore

#

Lap 39: short lived, not enough to regain tyre advantage, we're in trouble

#

Lap 43: Norris gave up

#

Lap 46: Bearman dropped Vesti and Isack took advantage of that, P8

#

Lap 48: Norris wants another try

#

Max Verstappen wins

#

A shame we couldn't do better, but a podium is a podium

#

Ferrari pulled away

#

After serving his race ban, Antonelli will return for his home race in Imola

unborn stratus
#

Imola 2028

This year in Italy, like last year, both Italian races are together on the calendar, Kimi Antonelli will be watched by fans during his home double header, and as the reigning champion, who hasn't seemed to be doing that well this year
Lawson and the Ferrari drivers will wish for success too, as this is their team's home, but no other team as Ferrari do not have any customers this year
Although he did top Q1, where we saw Norris have an absolute stinker, great for us tho - Verstappen takes pole, but we are up there, and Ferrari is not

#

Imola is a simple track, default strategy A is the best one, but Victor will pit one lap earlier to prevent conflict in the pits

#

Nothing significant lap 1, we maintain position at the start

#

Norris has the start of the day, gaining 2 places to P16

#

Behind him is Maloney, who lost 2 places

#

lap 3: isack got away, and vesti took that oppitunity to squeeze past Victor for P3

#

And Perez put it in the barrier, but he's still going, yellow damage and 5 seconds back

#

Lap 7: Leclerc in P5 is no longer a threat, as he drops back and gets annoyed by Antonelli

#

Lap 8: Leclerc shook off Antonelli and is coming back for Victor

#

Lap 10: Victor is fast, Leclerc couldn't keep up, so we're now running clear 2-4

#

Lap 13: Lawson and Russell come together, both out and safety car
Russell penalised

#

The timing screwed Verstappen and Isack, not allowing them to pit, we're still 2-4

#

Noteworthy: Leclerc P7

#

Oh wait Verstappen pit anyway, he's at the back, 1-3

#

Actually he's P17, Perez is so far back he couldn't catch up

#

Lap 17: we're racing again, maintaining position on the restart

#

Lap 20: Isack, Vesti, Victor and Antonelli are the four at the front, hoping for the win

#

Lap 21: Verstappen does a Perez, orange damage but still continuing, probably last finisher

#

Lap 24: Victor sneaks past Vesti for P2 just before Isack is set to pit

#

I let Victor take the lead as his tyres are much fresher

#

Antonelli sneaks past Vesti too

#

...and he gets past Isack too

#

Lap 28: Isack pits and finds himself at the back, but everyone else is yet to pit

#

Lap 30: Verstappen almost did another Perez, but didn't spin

#

Lap 31: Leclerc and Vesti have faults, good news for us

#

Lap 35: isack caught up to Verstappen on lap 33... but still can't get past

#

lap 37: Victor pits, P13, no one other than us has pit

#

Lap 41: Antonelli is the first we were fighting to pit, P10, behind Victor ahead of Isack

#

Lap 42: Doohan is in the barrier, orange damage, last runner

#

Lap 43: the other driver we were fighting, vesti, has been overtaken by Victor... he hasn't pit yet

#

Lap 45: isack locks up into bearman who he was trying to pass, yellow damage for both, Isack on front wing

#

Isack penalised, I did thing is was a long time without an Isack crash

#

lap 46: Victor was held up by Norris for a long time, long enough for Antonelli to catch up

#

Lap 49: Antonelli has been pinned to yet-to-pit-former-leader Leclerc, Victor easy P1

#

Lap 50: Red Bull will regret not pitting Vesti, he gets a puncture right after he passes the pit entry

#

And Antonelli got past Leclerc but hit him in the process, Leclerc yellow damagem Antonelli looks fine

#

No penalties

#

Lap 57: Antonelli has caught up to Victor, the battle for the lead begins

#

And of course the lapped car screws us over

#

Lap 60: Norris has made his way up to P4, passing Isack

#

Antonelli wins

unborn stratus
#

Guess it's not the end of the world looking at it, shame to the Red Bull strategists tho and unfortunately Lando made a good comeback

FIA have declared Monza is the second Q race of the season, the condition will be revealed at the end of lap 12

unborn stratus
#

Monza 2028

we stay in Italy for the second round of the Italian double header, where straight line speed is important but high speed cornering moreso, can Antonelli do the double?
He starts P5, it's possible but unlikely since most of the time the polesitter wins - Verstappen is the man on pole, how well will he do? Russell has a gris penalty and Pourchaire and Bearman start from the pits after not setting a Q3 time, it was also a shock to see Leclerc out of Q1, but the pit lane starters have dampened the impact a little

#

Here's the great Monza plan, it's strategy A with a more aggressive hard, and Victor pits earlier again

#

Doohan gets pushed off turn 1, he has yellow damage at the back, even behind Pourchaire and Bearman

#

We maintain position at the start

#

Aside form Doohan's push off, the Aston's gained a place each, that's it

#

Lap 3: Norris squeezes Isack for P2

#

Lap 4: Antonelli gets Victor after he drops back

#

And Russell turns in on Tsunoda at turn 2, both yellow damage, Russell penalised

#

Lap 10: Antonelli gets away from Victor, this race isn't going well

#

Lap 12: we have reached the end of lap 12, FIA have revealed the Q condition:
Since Max Verstappen is leading, the points he scored this race are doubled

#

Well I would've liked that but I stood no chance, at least it's not a Ferrari

#

Lap 14: Norris locks up lap 8, still P2 but Isack caught up, his tyres look bad

#

But Antonelli and Victor caught up too, guess how that went

#

Lap 17: Victor gets pushed off, P7 with yellow damage to the underfloor

#

Lap 18: Isack just can't get past Norris

#

This race is going very wrong very quicky

#

Lap 20: Norris with 35% mediums cleared Isack with 60% mediums, this is terrible

#

And Bottas got past too so P5

#

Lap 22: not even with a spin could Victor get past Piastri, embarassing

#

But he did on the next lap at least

#

Only because he pit

#

Lap 24: Victor pits, P12, ahead of Piastri but way behind Bottas

#

Lap 25: Maloney rear ends Bottas turn 1, both orange damage, Maloney penalty

#

Lap 26: Isack pits, P5, behind Antonelli ahead of Victor

#

Lap 27: with Lawson being last to pit, clear 4-5, although Piastri is catching

#

Lap 37: Verstappen has a problem, down to P4, Isack P3 Antonelli P1

#

Lap 43: Bottas parks

#

Lap 49: Victor also gets ahead of Verstappen, P4

#

Lap 50: Norris locks up again, dead tyres and an Isack behind

#

lap 53: isack finally gets Norris, good timing

#

Antonelli does the home double

#

We had a terrible start, but thanks to Verstappen's issue, we finished where we started, even if Verstappen is honorary P3 with the points he scored thanks to the Q condition being in his favour

#

The Ferraris swap places, Racing Bulls won the weekend but we beat Ferrari

#

Saudi Arabia 2028

We now head on over to Saudi Arabia where all teams except Williams brought upgrades, also also all teams except Alpine aren't running identical cars, mostly favouring their top driver but Racing Bulls has given the better parts to Lawson, the current worst driver in the game
Sauber showed some promise in FP1 despite having the worse car presently, but ultimately Norris took the pole in a tight battle between Mercedes and Ferrari at the top (what is this 2017?), where 0.238 seconds separated everyone in Q3, and that is close to the amount each grid position gives an advantage of, so can it be anyone's game?

#

Victor has to push past Verstappen lap 1, then we'll use tyre advantage in our favour - with different strategies to ensure we have no double stack problems, glory be to the one stop

#

Terrible start as instead of getting past the Ferraris, they get past us

#

Doohan at the back is running scrubbed tyres, will be have problems later on? Last may be guaranteed

#

No one gained or lost more than one position at the start, and quite a few did

#

Lap 2: Victor gets past Verstappen and his hards, P4

#

Lap 3: isack is trying to get Leclerc back but he's just short

#

Lap 4: with the help of your teammate, anything is possible, 2-4

#

Lap 5: Victor is also having a go against Leclerc with support from Verstappen

#

He's through, 2-3

#

Lap 8: Victor is properly clear now, 2-3 with no one around

#

And Leclerc won't catch any time soon, he's focussed on Verstappen

#

Lap 11: Verstappen gets Leclerc, let's see if he can chase us down

#

Lap 12: yes, yes he can

#

Well what were we supposed to do about that

#

Victor is pitting soon, I'm not too fussed

#

Lap 15: leclerc gets Victor too

#

Lap 16: Doohan triggers a safety car, which sucks because the plan for an undercut with Victor is now gone

#

Very unlucky

#

We remain 2-5 after the pit stops

#

Lap 19: Vesti immediately crashes at the restart, extending the safety car

#

Isack locks up during a safety car, allowing Verstappen and Leclerc past, 4-5

#

Lap 24: Albon you too...?

#

He's still in, no safety car

#

Lap 25: the podium got away, and Victor is ahead of Isack, he's got softer tyres and is going more aggresive

#

Lap 28: Victor caught up, not to get by

#

Lap 30: Vuctor got Leclerc for P3

#

Meanwhile Isack fumbled, letting Piastri and Bottas past, P7

#

lap 32: Bottas in the barrier, he's out, Isack P6

#

Lap 34: Isack gets Piastri back, P5

#

Lap 39: Victor does his last pit and emerges P7, only Leclerc and Piastri ahead haven't pitted... uh oh

#

Lap 40: Norris caught back up to Isack and it was just no competition, I imagine the same with Verstappen

#

He can at the very east hold him back for Victor, who is past the Saubers in P5

#

lap 41: to show what we're dealing with, verstappen got past Isack on the start finish straight and was 0.9 ahead by turn 2

#

Lap 43: Victor has caught up to the Ferraris

#

And Tsunoda parks

#

Lap 46: Leclerc pit, P8, 3-4 for us

#

Lap 46: Victor past Norris, P2

#

isack also caught up to Norris on the last lap... but it wasn't enough

#

Leclerc also steals fastest lap from Victor

#

Max Verstappen wins

#

What a chaotic race that both went our way and didn't go our way at the same time

#

I'm glad the Ferraris fumbled a bit, and to see Maloney score again was a surprise, second double DNF for Alpine in 9 races

#

Perez also did well to go from back row to points in a Haas

#

We won on points, and Victor leads the WDC, epic

#

Tune in next time for Spain, which the FIA says is a Q race, with the condition revealed After Q3

unborn stratus
#

Spain 2028

Spain, a track known for being the average - straights of all lengths, turns of all speeds, it's got it all, and should be fun on top of that
Only Williams have not brought upgrades here, and that shows especially for Alpine, who have gone from back markers to Q3 runners, however on this race specifically that will prove bad for them, as the Q condition is The grid is the qualifying results, reversed
Zane Maloney is on pole for this race, as Victor is right at the back of the grid, Piastri's pit lane start still stands

#

Spain has one viable strategy and it's this

#

At the start, Isack has made his way up to P13

#

And Victor, P17

#

Maloney leads but Lawson is catching

#

Lap 2: Isack gets Doohan for P12

#

Lap 3: Lawson has taken a dominant lead already, he has a terrible qualifying to thank

#

Lap 4: Victor gets Antonelli for P16

#

Lap 5: Isack gets Bearman for P11

#

Meanwile Norris and verstappen are getting helfd up by Antonelli and his hards

#

As for the Alpines, Tsunoda is still P10 but Doohan has dropped to P14

#

Lap 6: perez fumbles, Tsunoda and Isack past, isack is now in the points

#

Lap 7: witha big gap to Sanz in P8, Isack had no difficulty getting past tsunoda on the main straight for P9

#

Lap 8: Doohan fumbles allowing leclerc and Victor past, Doohan P16 Victor P15

#

Not Doohan too great

#

Lap 10: Leclerc attempted to pin Victor to Bearman, but Victor got past too

#

And Isack has caught up to the Bottas train: passengers Gasly and Sainz

#

Lap 11: Sainz and Isack past Gasly, Isack P8

#

Lap 12: Isack past Sainz, P7, Bottas got away with the help of Pourchaire

#

Lap 14: Victor's problem is Leclerc, Leclerc can't get past anyone and he can't get past Leclerc, if he just could things would be easier

#

Lap 15: Isack has caught up to the Williams drivers

#

Lap 17: Leclerc got in front of Perez right when he pit, denying Victor DRS and allowing many to attack

#

But we have a tyre advantage, let's start using it

#

Also because of that, Isack is past both Williams drivers, P2

#

But that may be misleading, lots of drivers have already pit

#

Lap 19: Victor got revenge on Leclerc, P6 for him for now

#

And Isack overtook Vesti for provisional lead before he pit

#

Lap 20: Isack pits and emerges P10, Vesti jumped him, four drivers ahead haven't pit

#

Victor also pit and emerged P17, at least Leclerc is still behind him

#

Lap 22: Vesti got held up by a big pack, and Isack exploited that to get past again, P8, 3 ahead haven't pit

#

Lap 23: Vesti runs wide and hits Bottas as he rejoins, Vesti three yellow damages Bottas one orange one yellow

#

Lap 24: Victor is past both of those involved in that collision, P11, everyone pit now

#

This fact puts Isack P5 btw, chasing Gasly for P4

#

Ahead of those two is Maloney then Lawson and Russell fighting for the lead

#

Lap 25: Isack vs Gasly was no contest, easy P4

#

Lap 27: Perez is actually putting up a fight with Victor for P10

#

Meanwhile in the top 4: Russell has a dominant lead, the other three are together now

#

Isack has way better tyres than Maloney or Lawson (or Russell)

#

Lap 28: Victor is finally past Perez, hopefully he can hold off the Ferraris as well

#

And isack is ahead of lawson, Maloney should be easy, easy P2

#

Lap 30: Maloney put up a bit of a fight, but isack gets by for P2

#

Lap 31: Russell pit, Isack has the lead

#

Lap 32: Leclerc got past Perez and caught up, but Isack is ahead of Tsunoda, can he do a better defence job?
