Considering Aston's Constructors' Championship goal was 4th or higher and our primary rivals at the beginning of the season were Mercedes, development has been going very well so far. We're still quite far from the top three teams. VCARB is developing the car at an extraordinary rate but I don't think they will catch us at any point, and if they do, they don't have Fernando Alonso.

Sainz is outperforming Leclerc by a significant margin at this point in the season. I found this pretty surprising but I think Leclerc will pick up the pace later in the season.

This is significantly less of a surprise. Lando is doing very well, only down 4 points on Sainz, the current leader of the Drivers' Championship. Piastri isn't quite keeping up, but is still performing relatively well and isn't leaving too many points on the table.

Verstappen is comfortably beating Perez. This gap will most likely grow throughout the season.

astonmartin Aston Martin

#

Stroll was surprisingly good in the first four races, discounting Jeddah where he retired. Ever since, Alonso has been outperforming him as is to be expected. Keep in mind that when the team has only one new car part manufactured for a race, Alonso recieves it every time. This has happened three times in the season so far.

Mercedes

Russell and Hamilton have been pretty close so far this season. Russell tends to perform better in qualifying, with Hamilton picking it up in the race.

Tsunoda has lost to Ricciardo three times so far in 2024, but he has had a DNF in two of these races. Seeing these point totals, it's obvious who has a brighter future in Formula 1.

The bottom four teams all have yet to score any points, but Hulkenberg is regularly ourperforming Magnussen whether or not he is rewarded for it.

#

Alex Albon's 9-1 race record against Logan Sargeant is the highest head to head race record so far this season. The only time Albon has placed lower was a DNF at Monaco.

Lacking a car with the ability to score points, all that Bottas and Zhou have to fight for are their Formula 1 careers, and Bottas is leading by a significant margin.

I started designing three new parts before Spa. Though I usually try to create a balanced car that is good in all areas, the new front wing, chassis and sidepod upgrades are heavily downforce focused. I expect the car to lose performance in some aspects like top speed, engine cooling and dirty air tolerance, but I hope to see significant improvements to cornering speed at all corner and circuit types.

Alonso may be embarassing Stroll, but I am aware of his preferential treatment in the team. I was harsh on Perez, but maybe he is in a similar situation to Stroll. Considering his circumstances, I don't consider these stats entirely representative of what he brings to the team, but he is certainly not as good as Alonso even in the exact same car.

Hamilton isn't exactly dominating Russell, but he is comfortably ahead. Mercedes is in a weird place in the championship. They are way too far behind Aston Martin, But they're quite far ahead of the team behind, VCARB. VCARB is currently developing a faster car than Mercedes, but Mercedes has a significantly better driver lineup.

Not much has changed at RB since the last time I checked. They currently have the most DNFs of any team, but are very far ahead of the bottom four teams.

Surprisingly, Albon vs. Sargeant is not the most one-sided head to head this season. 2 points is enough for Williams to be in 7th in the Constructors' Championship.

This is the most one-sided head to head this season. Zhou does not stand a chance. The car isn't doing either driver any favors, so Bottas hasn't been able to put in any significant performances anyway

This is the only time I've seen a driver have such different performances between race and qualifying. Hulkenberg has 4 DNFs, the most of any driver so far.

Before I start this season, there are a few things I'd like to note.

I said I'd try to manage Ferrari this season, but my team principal rating was not high enough due to starting with Aston Martin. I will be managing Williams instead.
Unlike last season, I will commit to giving both drivers the same parts for every race weekend unless a driver breaks a part during a race causes us to not have a replacement in the next race. In this scenario, the driver that breaks the car part will be the one to revert to the old spec.

To impersonate the AI:

Only used balanced sliders (except weight)
No more than 2 research projects on parts until after Abu Dhabi
Never refurbish HQ buildings unless they're max level
Don't negotiate any contracts until summer break
Sim every practice and quali session without touching the setup

i could go for balanced sliders only, I've already shaved all weight from every part so I could add max weight again to counteract this

simulating every qualifying and practice would help by forcing me to use bad strategies because of the way AI uses tires

#

I'll follow this guide for facilities and research too

I just really don't want Williams to win everything in 2025, makes no sense especially considering what they've gone through financially in 2024 irl

Back on the game and I'm following almost all of these rules, plus adding weight to all of the car parts I already made designs of. I won't negotiate any contracts at all because it isn't applicable to the save. You'll all vote for the driver transfers instead

I've also reverted to spec 1 parts for both cars and will stay on spec 1 until i have upgrades that aren't very overpowered
