Maserati participated in Grand Prix racing during the 1930s and in Formula One motor racing during the 1950s and 1960s. Its works Formula One programme was broadly successful, providing a total of 9 Grand Prix wins for the factory team.[2] In addition, Juan Manuel Fangio won the 1957 World Championship of Drivers and part of the 1954 World Championship of Drivers with a Maserati 250F.

Maserati designed two Formula One cars: the Maserati 4CLT and the Maserati 250F, and the pre-World War II Maserati 4CL was also used with some success. In addition, the Maserati A6GCM, designed as a Formula Two car, was also used in F1. Due to financial difficulties in the late 1950s the team had to withdraw from Formula One in 1958 despite the 250F still being successful. Privateers continued to use the 250F until 1960.

In the 1960s, Maserati supplied engines to British Formula One team Cooper as well as a number of smaller teams. The most successful car of that collaboration was the Cooper-Maserati T81, which had a Maserati V12 engine. It won the 1966 Mexican Grand Prix and the 1967 South African Grand Prix, driven by John Surtees and Pedro Rodríguez respectively.

Round one Bahrain for maserati the plan was trying not to get lapped so two stopping for both drivers on a soft soft medium strat worked only one pit stop mistake for micks car wasn't the end of the world

So saudi quali was fun giovinazzi made q2 after carlos crashed however in the race it didn't end up well for Maserati

Maserati Tp: saturday was a nice surpise to make q2 with one of our cars however sunday we still don't have the pace we are looking at a new rear wing chasis and sidepod for miami or hopefully for china

quali in austraialla was not our saturday but we looked forward to the race a red flag on lap one due to the racing bulls crashing we had some decent pace however when we got to our pitstop the medium wasn't great and mick crashed three corners after pitting which wasn't great

Maserati Tp: saturday was a disaster however sunday we still don't have the pace on the medium but soft race pace was good we were looking good till the pitstop mick appoligies for the crash but we are learning and so is the team on the bright sight we got points for our pitstop

Japan quali was a wet one for all the teams in a mix session we performed very well both drivers into q2 and mick made it to q3 however the race pace was bad and we just fell down the order lucky there is some upgrades for miami

Miami sprint was interesting quali pace was strong for gio however on lap one logan took him out however mick had some great pace with an new sidepod with gio have an upgraded chaisis as well mick will get it at imola

quali was great mick made q2 with gio unlucky in q1. In the race it was two stories it was wet and mick was so close to our first points in f1 he was only 3 and half seconds of a point compared to gio you wet pace wasn't great

Maserati tp: The weekend was the best this season very close to a point however p11 feels like a point as we now move up to 9th in the championship so very positive i was very nervous on the pitwall we got our calls spot on today so great job with stratergy the drivers will go away and relax and recharge ready for post summer break

Monza saw another penalty for mick so q1 for him was trying to beat bottas with gio making q2 at home

Monza for us was great mick had pace and gio kept his p16 and lucky sauber didn't get p11 or higher

baku quali was great mick made q2 which was great and is tempting maserati to keep mick but money wise does it make sense but the race mick went backwards which we need to improve on especially at a track at baku
